Recent history shows Trump doesnāt respect elections, so free and fair mid term elections are not a sure thing.
If the military ignores their oath to the constitution, as you suggest they will do, the consequences are dire.

Cops arenāt supposed to rough people up. The guy was compliant & they used unnecessary force; they assaulted him. Theyāre supposed to uphold the law, not break it.
The LAPD also purposefully shot an Australian reporter.

In normal times I would agree with you. My fear is this regime will no longer allow free and fair elections at the state and national level. From what Iāve read, Trump and state republicans are already trying to gain control of your election infrastructure.
I hope my fears are unjustified.

Why should the government not try & solve problems to make life better for people? In the US, government started Social Security so seniors no longer had to live in poverty; forced companies to take lead out of gasoline; & built your interstate highway system. I could go back on. Why is that bad?
