In the heat of the night (1967), which had the slap that changed American movies forever. Yes, there were lots of earlier movies where a white racist slaps a black man, but in this one the black man slaps back, and the cop lets him.
This was f---ing mind blowing at the time.

I am getting unbelievable tired of the "both sides are bad" bad faith arguments. A democrat has done something wrong? No shit! I'll vote them out if you run someone better. But they never do...

Every year I get pushed a little closer to a Linux desktop. I'm already using Raspbian on my Pi4 so I've already got one foot on that side, but some fundamental UX issues need to be fixed before I take the final step.

If you're not willing to stand up for the vulnerable people being hurt, sit down and stop calling yourself a leftist. You aren't. (2/2)

(sung to the tune of The Red Flag, Labour's official anthem)
The Labour Party once was red,
But Keir Hardie's long since dead
Starmer's the Keir we have today
He's a Tory in every way

Keir Starmer's flag is palest pink
It's not as red as people think
He wants to be like Tony Blair,
And sing The Red Flag once a year

At first it seems to be a pretty straightforward comedy song from the 60s, but if you understand 60s new york slang it has layers.

The Hobbit. (no kidding, the studio that did this later became Studio Ghibli)

IMHO, mocking Mr. 45 isn't necessarily a bad idea, it's that for most Democrats in office... that's all they're doing. We need more fighters like Sen. Warren, fewer like "this too shall pass" Sen. Scheumer.

I so want one, but of course they never existed outside of a concept.

It was rare here in the states, but damn near non-existent outside of Japan and US/CA. The UK version was a damned joke and should not have existed.
That said, for a very brief window it was an utterly amazing games console and the first console I bought for myself.

I had that happen to me. I had to ssh in to fix it. If I hadn't set it up earlier, I would have been f---ed.

This. The problem has never been CGI, the problem has been bad CGI. Same as with any other tool

Stainless steel? ... I assume that's a typo and you meant spring steel. At any rate, traditional bat'leths are made from Baakonite. Source: DS9 - Blood Oath via Memory Alpha.
Nothing wrong with Spring Steel, Wootz Steel, or any of the common sword steels if Baakonite is unavailable.
