I too would prefer he stays in London, but don't think we have the same location in mind

I have to acknowledge I do. A European win for Man U might help put them back on the right track (attracting players with UCL and UCL money, etc.) whereas Sp*rs are a fucked up club anyway, and might well get relegated next year.

He deserves sooooo much more than us 🫶

it's a real non-consensual slap in the face for the club to offer that and he should not stand for it. You can not have non-consensual actions like that at all.

Quelle classe, du club et de l'entraîneur.

Incredible read, once again.

We're so lucky to have this guy playing for us.

Ever heard of this thing called 'irony'? Thought so.

Hear, hear!

Spoiler: a knackered team with half its starters out, and no striker for 2+ months, doesn't play beautiful football. Come on man, let's agree it's gonna be a big summer and the first whispers are very positive, and enjoy that we saved what could be.

Wow, someone doesn't enjoy the taste of humble pie. We had an injury-plagued year, and yet we still managed to secure 2nd in the PL and a CL semi, having battered Real Madrid. That's not the outcome we all hoped for last summer, but given the circumstances, it's more than decent. Onto next year!

Just checking in on how we’re feeling. 😇

They outplayed us and we won. Sweet-tasting revenge.

Eze or Semenyo would do it for me.
comment in response to post
I could see us trying a Semenyo/Eze instead... cheaper, can play in midfield and PL proven.

It looks like he will be involved a lot in the first-team next season, and might spend the rest of the time with the U23s – they will get rid of a few players in the summer, which should make room for him.
comment in response to post
Of course, at the current injury/suspension rate, we might have to play two U15s and a gardener to get to 11 players in the last game.

We can even reasonably still hope to get a draw against NUFC and a win against So'ton, which would secure 2nd place.
comment in response to post
And 6th is 5 points away, with 2 games to play, including one against So'ton. I think it's not unreasonable to believe we will get at least one point from these 2 games, and Villa won't score 26 goals to better our GD.

You can refer to Xhaka too, then. But these were at least born out of frustration from not winning anything over a prolonged period of time. These guys just witnessed their club winning the PL, and TAA also helped them to a CL, another PL and several cups.

Oh OK so you mean general, performance-related booing. That is a bit different, but shameful too, I agree.

In this very specific transfer matter, I can only see him and Walcott, and Theo was way past his prime when he left. Giroud did leave for a direct rival, but it happened really quickly, coupled with Auba's arrival, and it was more the club's decision, so I don't remember anyone being really angry.
comment in response to post
I'm lost haha, you mean Giroud?
comment in response to post
And to whom did they do it? Hint: if it's a player who won nothing for us, that we supported during his lengthy injury years to see him leave us for our main rival when he finally reached full fitness, it's not the same.
comment in response to post
We should really go for him in the summer.

A Here we go from Romano does it for me.

Let's hope he will be on holiday for G38

I see your point. And I guess another fascinating aspect about that is the evolution of Rice. He's been more and more forward-thinking over the past 2 seasons, I wonder if Zubi's arrival will unlock him even more, thus giving another balance to the midfield.

Interesting! We'll see how it works. Let's not forget that Nwaneri should be able to contribute more in midfield next season, as Arteta recently hinted. His spell on the right wing hopefully will help his development.
comment in response to post
I think he said recently that he could displace anyone within a few months. Gotta give it a go.
comment in response to post
Yeah right, forget it and keep moaning. Life is short, why enjoy it?

I'm curious, why the midfield skepticism? It reminds me of the Jorgi-Rice-Øde, which was brilliant on the rare occasions they played together.
