Just like an encyclopaedia - full of random knowledge and good at holding doors open. Socials are predominantly my cat, sports and random ramblings of Football Manager, Australian women's soccer, and how good the Victorian High Country is.

Good call out. It will be interesting!

Yeah I reckon that's definitely a contributing factor.

Last game here for the Matildas was in November 2023 for the Olympic Qualifiers where we beat Taiwan 3-0, 19,000 attendance. Tonight it's 8,678. Something for concern or nah?

So assuming Catley is a certainty now at centre back, who starts with her at the Asian Cup assuming we're playing with two centre backs
comment in response to post
Yeah the half back role is how I see her. Fits into the CBs when in possession but is in front when out of possession.

I don't mind Kennedy in the 6 role if we need a proper anchor role and she's not a bad passer. But from what Joe wants from his defenders, yes I completely agree that I don't want her anywhere near

Yeah, I'm trying to say less about EVE as I'm not the biggest fan of her style in this Matildas squad. Haven't for a while. I rate Sayer a lot, and it's a shame Wheeler had to withdraw as I think she'd play that 6 role in Joe's tactics so damn well.

Could be a good 9 option for Sydney

Be interesting to see how and where she goes

Palace makes the most logical sense. Let a man be stupid

I'm sure Lucy Bronze will love the fact Ellie has come to replace her at club level again
comment in response to post
She's going to Palace obviously
comment in response to post
I wonder if she'll come back to Australia

Yeah I guess it's them justifying cost by giving a value add but personally I enjoy the format of just showing the feed. But if it's a way of more ex-players to get exposure and experience doing punditry post career, then yay I guess?

Allo silly question from the silly goose here, but referenced a few times that Amy was in the squad for the upcoming friendlies, is there a list somewhere of the squad? Is it just the Argentina one rolled over?
comment in response to post
As in the commentary was the feed, but the pregame/half time/post match was theirs
comment in response to post
From memory they had their own punditry last time. I suspect we'll have announcements soon I guess but yeah I wasn't a big fan of it for the last Euros.

Stop asking serious questions Alex

Last full 90 minutes for Canberra was in early March so last six games she didn't play a full 90, so I can see why she's getting extra minutes. It'll be interesting to see how Canberra goes at recruitment and contracts with the new ownership that Heyman referred to post match against Argentina.

Was it "Bella + Edward = love" that made it look fake?

What's a British biscuit that she misses?

Yeah look as a Canberra fan, I was disappointed but also understood why players left with the off-field chaos. But we got Sally James back so I wasn't too upset overall

We had what colour ties the PM would wear on election night and other ones such as "will he mention his rugby league team". There's a market for anything now and it seems no shame about it.

No complaints here 😂

Considering the other right foot shots by him in the match are still airborne, fair play to him

Tbh similar feeling I get from England qualifying. Usually underwhelming all round but cool?

Just like the first 91 minutes of the Bayern United Champions League Final back in 99.
