had fun chatting with @levgrossman.com yesterday for @qplnyc.bsky.social: www.youtube.com/live/lIiG88X...

Locus magazine does incredible work helping keep science fiction and fantasy vital and interesting. Please give to their fundraising campaign! I've donated a signed leatherbound (and gilded!) limited edition of THE BRIGHT SWORD as a perk www.indiegogo.com/projects/loc...

The Magicians cast will be reuniting at Enchanticon in August www.enchanticon.com

Thinking of the time @levgrossman.bsky.social spoke at BAM yrs ago. He'd done a "Person/Place/Thing" recording ab JKR/Oxford/pills, IIRC. Got my copy of Warp signed there too! @joshuacitarella.bsky.social's advice of "always go to the show" is gold. So glad I'd gone. Inspired the app I'm coding now!

🥸 New episode out now! 😧 Join Sophie and Jonty this week as they put their own “little grey cells” to the test to investigate how Agatha Christie’s story, set in a quiet village, became a literary phenomenon. 🎧 Tune in now wherever you get your podcasts! #agathachristie #poirot #murdermystery

So in the midst of the chaos and joy of Eastercon, @ngjeannette.bsky.social and I have set up a charity auction: Genre Creators for Trans rights in the UK and South Africa as a small personal response to what's happening in the world. You can bid on cool things here www.32auctions.com/genrefortrans

The Kindle edition of The Magicians is 99p this month at Amazon UK. You'd be crazy not to ... www.amazon.co.uk/Magicians-Bo...

Tonight (or if like me you're in Australia, tomorrow morning) my twin brother Austin and are going to talk books and writing online, presented by the National Arts Club. Sign up here: www.eventbrite.com/e/the-bright...

My annual check for the one line I had in one Magicians episode. It keeps on giving!

I love the can-do vibe but Pokémon Go has to understand that I will never ever complete this challenge.

On April 7, at 6:30pm EST, my twin brother Austin and I will be having an online conversation sponsored by the National Arts Club. Should be interesting -- he and I don't appear in public together that often www.nacnyc.org/default.aspx

Anuncia hoy el #Celsius232 que se suma a su (PEDAZO) cartel @levgrossman.bsky.social y viene con NUEVO libro bajo el brazo: «La espada fulgurante», una reinvención del mito artúrico ⚔️

It's awards season! Locus Awards season that is. Vote for your favorite reads of the year at poll.voting.locusmag... Everyone can vote, but people who subscribe to the magazine get double-weighted votes. ;)

I finally spotted the iconic Australian wobbegong shark! Though if I'd RTFM beforehand I wouldn't have got quite so close. Turns out wobbegongs are a bit bitey. But it was all fine. (This is not my photo, it's from Wikipedia. But it did look a lot like that.)

My daughter has started dabbling in chain-mail making. It's almost too on-brand ...

I'll be on an incredible panel with V.E. Schwab and Veronica Roth at the LA Times Festival of Books in April! Come if you're in the area, I think it'll be pretty amazing.

I have spent a year trying to pants this novel and I just cannot do it. I just can't. I am plotting the bejeezus out of the rest of it.

Sometimes novel-writing feels like walking a tightrope without a net. Or a tightrope. Which is fine as long as you don't look down, except that I keep looking down. (I realize that this ranks very, very low on the list of the world's ills today.)

I've never been a finalist for a Hugo, Nebula or World Fantasy Award. Which is 100% fine, I get plenty of stuff! But if you're nominating for the Hugos, and you liked Bright Sword, don't hold back.

Vote with your heart on your favorite reads from last year, in the Locus Awards! 🌙 Locus Magazine is a nonprofit promoting both big names & small press & indie authors. Voting ends April 15. ✨ Cast your vote: poll.voting.locusmag... #LocusAwards #SFF #books #booksky
