Sorry, that was a little bit of insider talk. A 'pantser' is a writer who improvises their book as they go along. As opposed to a 'plotter' who plans the whole thing out in advance first.

good question. I agree that Dinadan is raising consent issues, at the very least, if that's what you're suggesting. Though he also knows that he can trust fairies to look after their own interests. I suspect the arrangement lasts long enough for him to make his getaway, but not longer
