I figured, but wanted to call out my lack of specific knowledge on that side of the military. Thanks for speaking up for the Guard!

Vet, not active duty, but tons of friends still on active duty. The vast majority of troops are not going to be ok with this. Never had anything to do with the National Guard, though. Maybe they're different, but I doubt it

You win the internet--and today there's quite a bit of competition

If true, but so far actual election results are saying the opposite

Come ON, fellow vets. Rethink that first slide and then reevaluate the third

Speaking only for myself, I “like” posts that I feel need to be read, even if I hate the content. Without another option to flag bad news, that may be what’s going on here? Although that’s usually for news vs ignorant or hateful comments. These attacks are escalating and the hate is terrifying

The parade troops are expected to eat MREs and sleep in government offices? What assholes

Weirdly looking forward to them doubling down on this rather than just admitting he liked how he looked in that picture and didn’t read it

I came here to say just this

I’m not saying they have not been trying (and worrisomely succeeding) over years, but having been around active duty service members my entire adult life, when I was in and after, it is not yet true that most military think that way
comment in response to post
Not most military, certainly. At least not yet.

God, this. Feeling particularly seen here

I’m genuinely curious what you feel an appropriately caring response to “not bad” would have been.

You guys (wisely but sadly) make it hard for us to join you permanently

To be fair, what they’re selling scarcely counts as Pride merchandise

Squeee! I needed a spot of happiness today, so thank you. Most sincerely. And congrats to the graduate 😆

Ha! My youngest put me on to them years ago. Alas, they’ve never rated my sweet little Molly-mutt.

You know, I’ve lived overseas and decent public transportation is a good thing. A treasure, even

My college kids as well. Mentioned the Tate pair not long ago and got a serious earful!
