And people do. They vote for this.

As well he should. Too bad other universities have bowed to the furor rather than standing up for our constitution and the rights it bestows upon us.

The parents will hopefully also push to get rid of that superintendent. I would not want him/her in charge of my child's educational needs. Actions should have consequences. Parents have a right to know and have input.

I suspect most of the congress people and their families will get. Kennedy maybe not because he is unusually dimwitted. It is the poor that will suffer UNLESS they prohibit you from self pay. Insurance will probably quite covering it.

Put Mitch McConnell at the top of any list. He could easily have saved this country, but he averted his eyes to what he knew was happening.

I am just waiting for the hammer to drop to see how they blame Biden for the deaths and long COVID to follow.

I fear the time is fast approaching when they will need to make a choice.

You are correct, however, there are levels of freedom. I strongly fear that what we had prior to the Trump administration may seem like heaven in the near future. There are levels of freedom and, being old, I can assure you things were changing albeit at a snail's pace.

No decency left in the Republican party. None.

Everything about him screams small.

Being on a Nazi means having a group of people that everyone else can hate and can be blamed for current problems. It is a strategy and is not based on facts. In Nazi Germany, it was the Jews. In the US, it is immigrants. Fortunately, not everyone is falling for it. Too many are though.

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and talks like a duck. ICE is now the Gestapo in different clothing.

This is a huge problem on both sides. If Ruth had stepped down, Roe likely would not have been overturned. Mitch is a walking zombie. Neither Biden nor Trump should have run. Too old. I am old myself, but I am also for an age limit on office holders. They won't step down on their own.

Or sawing the head off a whale...https://apnews.com/article/rfk-jr-kennedy-whale-investigation-09c494d8164c6f9bde9ece39637ea4d3 Who does this? I don't know anyone who would do either of these things.

The Democrats had better come up with something soon or all is lost. They will not win the House and Senate back unless they unify and come up with a plan. And even if they do, we are making a huge assumption that the elections will be fair.

I did not like Pence as a governor of Indiana nor as a Vice-President, but I admire the heck out of his courage in this matter. Trump is scary and Pence had to know he was risking quite a bit in defying him. Wish our legislators had his courage.

The irony is that Biden was trying to do the very things that he said he expected Trump to do though Biden was often blocked by the Republicans. But at least he and some others are waking up. They will be needed to bring about change.

So very sorry. They leave such a big hole in our hearts and lives.

Yet again McConnell had a chance to help Americans and failed to act. Reminds me of Pilate washing his hands

Rich white male privilege at its zenith. Totally clueless

Fair enough since we started the fight. But have you EVER known Trump to say he was wrong about anything?

If Kamala was President we might be able to afford brunch.

So many of those who will be affected have absolutely no clue what is going on and will not be upset UNTIL it happens to them. Also not upset at no due process. They believe they will have it and don't care if others don't (assuming, and this is huge, they know they meaning of due process).

Brings to mind a wonderful movie I saw years ago: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDBi...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDBi... Very apt for the loss of due process

Imagine if Trump has not been given due process. Oh, I can hear the outrage from Republicans now. But then, perhaps our problem would have been solved had he just been deported to El Salvador rather than allowed to run for President. Due process protects us all and thus is important.

No other President would have done this: Republican or Democrat. None. Why? Because it is not honorable. Not that all past President's were honorable, but they had enough integrity that they would have moved to rectify this mistake.

He still doesn't get it that the Ukraine DID NOT start the war.

Sure doesn't feel like winning to me. Feels like we have gone back one hundred years, terminated our friendships with other countries, lost our retirement savings, losing due process, and are preparing for a tax hike through the tariffs. If this is winning, wish I could go back to losing.

Absolutely disgusting. Should not have happened in the first place, but once it did it should NEVER have required a Court to get him back. It should have been automatic with some type of payback for the mistake. (not that anything could really compensate). Scary times we live in.

Also, even if they do find a cause that is NOT genetic, it would only be a parent's fault IF they knew and made a deliberate choice to put the fetus at risk like we are seeing with measles. I would never blame a parent for their child's autism. I happen to be on the spectrum.
comment in response to post
so glad we are in a pissing contest that hurts both countries.

Gestational diabetes would not be blaming anyone other than genetics on the whole. Most people with gestational diabetes don't have it when they aren't pregnant, or that is my understanding. I really don't think that they have definitively found what causes it but it probably involves genetics.

He'll probably use that to blackmail and control his own. He has no scruples.
comment in response to post
They are already going to go up due to the tariffs.
comment in response to post
I just read an article earlier today that is saying they are looking into whether it could be linked to maternal diabetes. So many theories, but of course if you take the money away from science, those roads won't be walked.

I agree, but don't forget that women never COULD get an equal rights law passed. And some women (black) did not get the vote until the mid-60's. So you are not alone in this push to put us back in our "proper" places.

I thought Rand Paul would be on the list. Not that I like Rand Paul, but he said he was against the tariffs.

Excuse me, but my tax dollars should NOT be paying for this.
