Having known patients in both the mental and physical health care systems of other countries, i have only two words about ours, "We suck." The greed of the Republican Reagan Revolution would rather have health care corporate vultures pick apart its victims for more profit.

Wow, I never imagined a Republican POTUS acting like a Communist leader! So, now we learn that the GOP supports Communism. 🤪

It's not hard to understand: when America caters to the lowest common denominator—in this case, the median transphobe—it all but ensures that America will be the suck across the board
In art and science and charity (and so on) we should strive for excellence, not to please those with stunted growth

If grandpa started saying this, we'ld be looking for a nice home for him in which to spend the rest of his life. Donald needs a new home immediately, a prison (finally!) would be best.

I heard that Trump's plane will now be called Panda Express, because it has orange chicken in it.

GOP motto: If you are poor, disabled, elderly, or sick, die quick, and we'll make it easier for you to do so.

GOP was warned in the 1960s to never empower their nutter extremists, but they did so, all to take/hold power. We are all going to die, today's GOP just makes it easier for you. Their healthcare motto is "If you are poor, disabled, elderly, or sick, die quick."

These Trumpian times gives another meaning to the phrases "Pardon me." and "I beg your pardon."

👍 And for Trump, as it's been said, the truest jest sounds harsh for guilty ears.

So true! And, like some people 2,000 years ago who yelled "Crucify him! Crucify him!", today's Republicans would have yelled "Kill him! Kill him!"

Poor Jake. I'm beginning to think he wrote a "dagger". Article from 2019, but this has been going on for years.

My 1950s parents (Dad a warehouse manager, 5 kids), new home w 10yr mortgage. 1980s me, married, 2 kids, 2 incomes, city home plus mountain home, 20 year morts. Knew in 2008 Bush economy really bad, 50yr interest-only mortgages, $10 an hr was "good wage", homes $240,000. GOP screws Americans.

Yep. This was all out there for 2016, but as long as GOP had a white (really orange) male, seemingly "great businessman" "billionaire", with enough working digits to handle a pen to sign whatever was put in front of him, that was all they cared about for them to take/hold power.

Yep, the love of money truly is the root of all evil, as a wise teacher said 2,000 years ago. These people truly are despicable, and GOP Trumpism just makes it easier for this evil to take hold.

Yes. Donnie Cash brought his love of money to the White House, Republicans are all on board, thus the root of all evil has taken hold of America.

Hint: Trump is acting like the North Korean Supreme leader or the USSR General Secretary of the Communist Party. A boomer, if you had told me that in the future a GOP POTUS would act like a Communist leader, I would have laughed. 2025 GOP, a Communist Party.

In 2009 Fla Democratic Rep Alan Grayson was correct to point out the business model for Republican health care was, "If you get sick, die quickly." Unfortunately. GOP thinking has expanded to "If you are poor, disabled, elderly, or sick, die quick."

🤣👍 2,000 years ago today, "Christians" like Graham would have been yelling "Crucify him! Crucify him!" If you read GOP"Christians" all the passages in the Bible where Jesus speaks or something is said of what he is/has done, but leave out his name, they would say that person is not Christian.

Yes. '80s GOP sold their soul, all to take/hold power. The Devil came calling in 2016 in the name of Trump. Americans were naive enough to believe our democracy would hold forever. The mindset that is the 2025 GOP not only has no decency, but believe all to their right are "Commie liberals."

Even if it weren't true, the sad thing is is that it sounds like it could be true, coming from someone in a Trump administration, where people are chosen for their criminality, insanity, ignorance, and/or complete lack of decency.

Yes. A boomer I saw this coming decades ago. John Birch Society and Project 2025 funder, C Koch, set USA up for a Trump to sign anything. Tried w 2016, but would return 2024, to make it work this time. From 2018...warning signs were there

To avoid a hot war and move into 21st Cen warfare, Putin used his Russian asset, Krasnov, along with GOP right wing Christian community to spread mis- dis- information and support Russia over America, all to invade, influence, and destroy USA.

We made the mistake, thinking that since the GOP hated left wing Communism, they hated all authoritarianism. Wrong! The mindset that rules 2025 GOP loves right wing dictators. [M]y parents loved [the Roman Catholic Spanish dictator Francisco] Franco."

We are experiencing in public the private horror of the family of a narcissistic socio/psychopath. I knew a non-criminal ns, and his adult children were told by his psychiatrist to cease contact w their dad, for their own mental health.
