One of my great joys in life is showing this to people who are either Youths or somehow missed it the first time around.

Buying fancy coffee as a prize for lowering my blood pressure is maybe not "doctor recommended" but in this house we believe in positive reinforcement training.

I went to block him and in the moment before I clicked the block button I saw he follows zero people. Deeply unserious use of social media.

my hottest educational take is that schools should actively, non-punitively teach students how to admit when they don't know something, aren't sure or have made a mistake, with various teaching frameworks adapted to support this ideal, because people who can't admit fault are breaking the world

🌈 Happy Wednesday, Scooby Gang 🌈 ⛧💖💜💙⛧

this is the most bullshit logic that I have ever seen and my rage CAN NOT BE CONTAINED. the supreme court does not need to be deciding WHAT MEDICAL CONDITIONS ARE TREATABLE and no one should ignore this just because this time it wasn't yours, holy shit

Good Trouble.

I thought the owl was standing on the other owl and it was a good moment for me.

I was complaining about the humidity, but what I said was, "It's too juicy outside." I understand that was wrong and I'm sorry.

Honestly, when the petrified Thing in the book is identifiable that's a good day. I like asking people if they would keep a book with mysterious brown stains on their own shelf - because I will NOT.

Ah yes, another secretly-replaced politician.

I could not be happier with this. Funnel cake is truly the pastry of my soul.

Did a tank write this skeet?

As a librarian, I agree with this hypothesis.

Just saw my first "Gen Z is killing a thing" headline. Welcome to the scapegoat club, kids! We have craft mocktails, but apparently you won't be racking up a bar tab.

I really don't think these days are right for someone who has worked for Nickelodeon and is still publishing novels, Google.

I'm so tired of calling Hickenlooper but at least I'm getting so good at it I don't have to rehearse anymore.

Bagel loves watching the @montereybayaquarium.org Live Shark Cam. It is literally the only thing that calms him down when he is Bageling.

So...throwing paper towels at people?

leftists: that thing you teach us in school to be terrified of is happening historians: that thing is definitely happening star wars: here is a beat-for-beat breakdown of how the thing happens, but with pew pew lasers. we know you watched it news outlets: these protesters are out of control

Hey as a reminder, if you have contact with a bat, that should be treated as a potential rabies exposure and if a fucking *healthcare worker* tries to dissuade you from getting the vaccine, report their fucking ass because holy hell you do NOT mess around with rabies??

There's a lot to unpack here. But the "why do people in the developed world die from chronic diseases at higher rates than in poorer countries" is because we survive long enough to die from chronic rather than infectious disease. This is epidemiology 101. It's not a mystery.

I sometimes wonder if people who insist that everything is a distraction have to run their own errands. “This grocery trip is a distraction from the REAL issue, which is the weird noise my engine is making! The fact we’re out of toilet paper is a distraction from the REAL issue which is dinner!”

I am realizing that people think it was the speeches and not the court cases, political campaigns, votes, and riots that won rights and buddy I don't know where we go from here.

There is so much history happening, if you're a future historian please tell everyone I said aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa thank you

Open it. Open it! We need whatever version of the avatar is contained in the mysterious black iceberg!

Assoured. With a soupçon of condiseed.

Let’s talk for a moment about some of the more subtle ways that the press acts as a mouthpiece for law enforcement. Actor Jonathan Joss was shot to death on Sunday. I don’t know what happened; I wasn’t there. But his husband said a homophobic neighbor shot him as part of an explicit hate crime. /1

My tattoo shop is doing a flash sale for pride and there's a carabiner piece. That's how you know they're really queer friendly.

Mr. Rogers would 100% have a drag queen come read a book and then turn it into the most heart warming message of inclusivity you’ve seen in decades while washing a trans man’s feet and half this country is just living their lives like Fred Rogers ain’t disappointed in them fucking daily.
