2/ Term limits won't stop bad politicians from serving. It just means we cycle through them regularly, and we lose representatives who are doing great things. We don't want to lose these good people because of term limits.

1/ First thing: overturn Citizens United, get big money out of politics.
Second thing: get rid of political gerrymandering and have districts drawn up by non-partisan committees.
Third thing: write legislation to make insider trading and crap like this illegal, punishable by jail time.

3/I'm a Christian but I am NOT his kind of Christian. Wait, let me correct that. I am not his kind of christian. I actually follow Jesus' teachings, especially Matthew 25:35-45. If more of them followed that scripture's lesson, the US would be a kinder, better place.

So true. I witnessed this in January when my doctor sent me to the ER. The families in front and behind me stated that their reason for visiting was for illness, bad cough for about 2 weeks. Without healthcare, their only option was to go to the ER, not to Urgent Care or a doctor's office.

Thanks! I'm def a details person. I do deep research to understand the big picture, and concisely tell a story. Before I started, I was unaware of the faith evolution of the church but I was relieved to discover that the original Evangelical faith isn't what we see now.

I'm writing a book on my ancestor's Evangelical Church founded in 1858 in WI. One key difference between Evangelical then and Evangelical now is that they were staunch supporters of pub ed. No parochial school if it competed with pub school. Today's Evangelicals want school vouchers. 2/2.

Cliff notes version: Evangelical faith founded in early 1800s in PA for German immigrants. Merged with Brethren faith, became Evangelical United Brethren. Next change, United Methodist. Today's Evangelical Church broke with UMC in 1960s, UMC too liberal. Same name, not the same beliefs. 1/2
