People are pissed this morning because we exposed Peter Thiel. We’re under constant attack, but that’s expected. The greatest threat to the Trump administration is an informed public. That’s why they rely on secrecy and distraction. But we won’t look away.

A federal grand jury indicted a former New Hampshire businessman this week on charges that he orchestrated attacks on the homes of journalists who had investigated claims of sexual misconduct against him.

Despite that worry, I cannot stop standing up for what is right. I cannot turn a blind eye to injustice. I cannot ignore what Trump is doing to our democracy and our country. Or more precisely, I will not. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/i-wo...

Don't spend one minute feeling sorry for the law firms that capitulated. They prioritized their own profits over the rule of law, decency and democracy. They deserve the ridicule and scorn they are now receiving. History will remember them for the cowards they are.

His biggest legacies are the First Energy and ECOT scandals. But he never stops talking about deleting words with AI.

Exclusive: The Justice Department is using a little-known law to criminally charge unauthorized immigrants who have failed to register their presence in the country, threatening them with potential jail time and fines.

Some people get upset when we ask for an email to read our free articles or put reporting behind a paywall. ā€œWhy can’t it just be free?ā€ they ask. But producing original journalism costs real time and real money. It’s not a hobby. It’s a business.

WTF. This is the most sensitive, classified information and they want a Fox News anchor/producer to have access to it? Good luck having anyone share intel info with us. www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat...

ā€œIf a homeowner is thinking about solar and can afford it, now would be the time.ā€ House Republicans want to end federal tax credits that help make solar affordable. If that happens, it could upend the economic calculus of powering a home with sunlight.

The Trump administration on Friday unveiled fuller details of its proposal to slash about $163 billion in federal spending next fiscal year, offering a more intricate glimpse into the vast array of education, health, housing and labor programs that would be hit by the deepest cuts.

Got two alerts on my way home. On the bus, listening to music. Flinched so hard closest other travelers turned to look if I was okay… this in Helsinki, Finland, pretty far from the true danger. Yet could’ve ruined my pants had it been too long since last using a bathroom. @u24.gov.ua

Elon Musk said he was ā€œhorsing aroundā€ with his 5-year-old son X, who struck him in the face and caused a bruise. ā€œI said, ā€˜Go ahead, punch me in the face.’ And he did,ā€ he said.

Ohio may be 45th in GDP growth and unemployment, and #1 in corruption, but have no fear…the guy who led OH economic development efforts in recent years is still bragging he used AI to eliminate millions of words from regulations. šŸ™„ This guy is so beatable.

When we piece together facts, as @hcrichardson.bsky.social does for us in Letters from an American, we have a bird’s-eye view and from there we can make educated decisions. open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...

Last year, we became the first state to build and open three veterans homes simultaneously. Ā  I just signed a bill that fully funds the staffing and operations of these homes well into the future. I’m proud of Minnesota’s enduring commitment to better serve those who served us.

Taking credit for other people’s work is par for the course.

🚨 While working families are told there’s no $$$ for Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP, or schools, Trump is spending nearly $100 million in taxpayer funds on a military parade to celebrate himself on June 14. That’s why on June 14, we’re rising up to say NO KINGS. Find or join a protest: NoKings.org

I say this a lot, but for many, many people, their views on immigration enforcement boil down to "I want to kick out the bad ones and keep the good ones," and they haven't thought about the specifics much beyond that.

Psst…those 1950s manufacturing jobs Trump loves so much? They were good jobs because they were UNION jobs. Oh...and taxes on corporations and the rich were much higher. Trump’s agenda won’t bring back the ā€œGolden Age.ā€ It’ll make the rich richer at everyone else's expense.

The typical compensation package for chief executives who run companies in the S&P 500 jumped nearly 10% in 2024 as the stock market enjoyed another banner year and corporate profits rose sharply.

While the practice is by no means new under Trump, the public are now seeing a lot more how ICE routinely disregards the law on warrantless arrests, which may only be done if the officer has "reason to believe that the person is likely to escape before a warrant can be obtained."

In one case, the supposed author of a study on anxiety in adolescents, epidemiologist Katherine Keyes, was surprised to find she was cited in the report for a paper she didn’t even write. https://trib.al/WAKKfDb

It’s extra important for GOP senators to hear from their constituents right now. While Republicans try to gut life-saving programs like Medicaid and SNAP to give billionaires even more tax cuts, tell your senators to reject Trump’s Tax Scam and stand up for the families they were elected to serve. šŸ‘‡

The Republican budget bill would block states from regulating AI, including the AI that landlords are using to collude to set higher rental prices. We should be making housing affordable, not tying the hands of states working to ban unfair practices. www.theverge.com/news/676378/...

Please read, this is important. Sorry it’s long. Trump’s move to have Elon Musk step aside wasn’t a retreat. It was a distraction. With Musk’s name out of the headlines, many assumed the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had quietly ended. It hasn’t. It’s just changed hands.

Great, only 10 months later than they should have done so. And that’s being charitable.

The head of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee, Kartapolov, stated that if Ukraine does not accept Russia’s terms, it will be left without Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, and other cities.

Increasingly clear that these ICE arrest operations are gearing up not because of the actual immigrants, who in all but a tiny handful of cases go along quietly, but because they’re getting so much pushback from onlookers. It’s a vicious cycle; the more they do this, the worst the pushback gets.
