Why are so many of the current California politicians so awful?

I still don't understand what he meant by FL having better services than NY. I know these guys spew constant BS, but this one I find particularly weird.

I guess "public safety" doesn't include traffic safety?

I've never had anything threatening happen to me on BART/Muni. But I certainly have while driving a car! (And I take transit much more frequently than I drive.)

Sincere question - was this good for Dems? I feel like Dems will be accused of spending big no matter how frugal they are, and it would have been good to get in as much as possible in BBB/IRA when they had the chance. So just another example of Manchin kneecapping his own party?

This is obviously not true, but even if it was why would that have anything to do with the approval process? It should be about safety and effectiveness, not based on surveys of what people "want".

If America didn't want Covid boosters, you wouldn't have to prevent them from being distributed.

A lot of them who enjoy the perks will never admit Obama had anything to do with it. I have family members who believe that you used to be able to keep your kid on your insurance indefinitely, and the ACA *lowered* the age to 26. They think Obama only made things more expensive and hard to access.

Also, it's extremely expensive and time-consuming to get this diagnosis as an adult. Kids can get accommodations at school, but for adults there's basically no practical advantage to be diagnosed so most people forgo it.
