I’m definitely going to go to the Greens if Labour doesn’t sort themselves out. This isn’t them and its not what most of us voted for.
I can’t in all good conscience support them as a party when they dehumanise people who migrate and have our good friend Fatou Tamba inhumanely detained 💔

He’s going to lose votes. Mine for a kick off.
I voted Labour, if this carries on I’ll be voting Green next time.
I have a friend in Yarl’s Wood detention centre rn - Home Office trying to deport her to her death in Gambia.
I don’t want to hear Labour dehumanising people seeking sanctuary.

If you had any doubts about the intended audience for today's migration announcements, the newspapers Starmer took questions from at the press conference were: Times, Sun, Mail, Express. No one else.

Allow people to work during their asylum claim consideration and then they won’t need to be housed, they can live and work with dignity. It’s not difficult.
You & gov know this is the answer Nick, but you all play dumb. Its as though you enjoy that the hotels are winding people up unnecessarily.

NB as @steveakehurst.bsky.social kindly mentions, I wrote a bit recently about why young women voting Green don't get anything like the attention young men voting Reform do, and what we might be missing there www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Thank god they managed to do this 🙏🏼
Apparently she’s due to go teatime tonight on a flight to Casablanca, then onto the Gambian capital - praying her lawyers can do something today.
Thank you so much to those campaigners. I hope she can come back to Liverpool and get on with her life again 🙏🏼

A pillar of our community in Liverpool and a mother Fatou is currently being detained for deportation to Gambia on Monday, it’s been picked up by Liverpool Echo but we need more help. Home Office refusing to comment. Please can you help us Paul? Full story: www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpo...
