I could have told them that for free. Elon Musk just made himself the biggest scapegoat on the planet. Trump will blame everything on Musk, use it as the basis to revoke his federal funding streams & try to get him deported. All of that w/h been great BEFORE Musk bulldozed government operations.

Trump has never been a political asset. Republicans were too greedy and afraid to cross him. We The People still remain the most powerful three words in the Constitution and until his self interest was challenged Musk has not acted like one of us nor is he an eligible voter. I’ll wait this out.

I really wish my parents & my husband’s parents were alive to gain some much needed perspective. Our 24 year old son is asking us questions we can’t answer. Trump is dismantling protections we grew up relying on. We decided that we wouldn’t lie to him & taught him to adapt & fight. So far, so good.

I graduated in 84, & am the daughter of two veterans of the Navy. My mom was a Wave & my dad was a career officer. They served during Korea. My dad got in trouble for dating my mom, apparently officers & enlisted personnel is wrong. The irony, given our current president. I wish I could ask them.

I’ve always wondered why the word “Happy” has been tacked on to Memorial Day sentiments. America seems to have collectively forgotten we’re honoring soldiers that died for our right to be free. That distinction seems especially important this year. Maybe I’ll ask a veteran what they want to hear.

I believe he’s a good person, he just needs to remove himself from the hellscape of American politics. My use of the word sane was too harsh. American politics is soul-crushing for even the healthiest, most grounded person (like Pete Buttigieg). Fetterman needs a consistently calm environment.

That’s exactly how I feel. I’m surprised Governor Shapiro doesn’t want this entire investigation handled by the State Police. The DOJ is going to decline to prosecute b/c she won’t have the spine to determine this a hate crime, so the FBI is given access to evidence, only for it to get “lost”.
