At the very least, no you can’t use guidance if there’s no way your character would know that the other person was about to do something!

I was thinking “popularizing an unfamiliar cuisine” and I know it happens in other cases but I can’t think of another person who’s literally the face of the food like he is!

I told my husband it looked like when you’re driving in a snowstorm and you’re just following the taillights of the car in front of you and hoping for the best

Right? This is giving very “next up is the Budweiser distributor’s truck and then the Miss Strawberry Festival contestants”

I keep going back and forth between “Well *that’s* not good” and “What are the odds that anyone in their audience is actually going to a protest instead of just posting memes about it?”

The only person I can think of is Chef Boyardee, but most people don’t know he was a real person so I’m not sure he counts

Evangelical Trump supporters are a sizeable (and growing) % of the people calling *themselves* Christian in the US. You may think they don’t sound like Jesus, but they think they’re right in line with fiery sword Jesus from Revelation. It’s a real problem for global Christianity (see Pope Leo)

Don’t forget “I have been assured that if Skeletor is confirmed he will not do the thing. Please send us $5 to $50.”
“Skeletor’s doing of the thing is a blow to our very democracy that requires you to send us $5 to $50.”

Right?? Personally I don’t want little girls to think it’s a good plan to make a deal with patriarchy!

In the US, they literally made the argument that white women would vote in the interest of whiteness, so they should get the vote before black men. And it’s gone on to be true ever since. Not a few Hillary supporters were working on the “how dare a black man before a white woman” script.

To follow the story, know what the characters are saying and doing? I don’t think I understand the question.

There’s plenty of reading in Tears of the Kingdom! You can even translate “ancient Hyrulian” (which is actually Middle English). Video games don’t have to be the enemy of books.

The scary stat about most Americans reading at a 6th grade level isn’t really that scary. Most adult bestsellers are only 8th grade level. Difference in levels at this point is mostly down to (a) unfamiliar vocabulary and (b) complex sentence structure. Don’t get lost in clauses and you’ll be fine!

If it were a war, using tear gas would be a war crime. But since it’s cops using it on their own citizens, it’s fine. (Not making this up.)
