After we got a new machine several years ago with more programming options, husband struggled to remember what settings to use, so now he has the most common ones written down in a way that makes sense to him and kept above the machine.

Day 6: I don’t have a book for today’s prompt, so instead here’s the third in a YA trilogy with queer characters that I’ve recently enjoyed reading. Defy the Night / Defend the Dawn / Destroy the Day by Brigid Kemmerer. #ReadingPride

Day 5: a queer book where main character has a fun/interesting job - what could beat captain’s “clerk meets butler meets housekeeper meets batman” on a dirigible with crew including a ghost, werelioness, Templar-trained assassin, your twin brother and your (shape-stealing) best friend? #ReadingPride

You only make comments like that out of nervousness if the thoughts are in your head already.

Not necessarily reading them this month (though will get to some if them), but posting in response to prompts on this thread, and am reposting about queer books from authors I follow with #ReadingPride bsky.app/profile/lizm...

Day 4: a queer book with a name or number in the title - going for a double on this one with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. #ReadingPride

Day 3: a queer book that has been on my TBR for too long - Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend by Lizzie Huxley-Jones. But although I’ve procrastinated on this, at least I’ll be able to read the rest of the series straight after! 🙂 #ReadingPride

Day 2: a queer book that reminds me of home - it’s about coming home and becoming a home - Romancing the Werewolf by Gail Carriger. #ReadingPride

Completely coincidentally, seconds after reading this, I heard “We're quickly approaching a time when the first child influencers are going to be adults who can tell their own side of the story.” From You're Wrong About: Baby Jessica with Blair Braverman - see next message for full details.

Lady Amelia Smallhope – she could manage fine by herself, but I wouldn’t object if Pennyroyal decided to tag along.

I hope she stays pain-free and it vlears up soon.

I was woken by a phone call just after 10:30 querying some payments. I thought it was a scam so hung up but then had to make calls to check it wasn’t a genuine issue with one of my cards.

I only get them occasionally - I usually treat them with comfort re-reads until I’m ready to go somewhere new.
