Not seen them for a long time, so I was pretty excited that they're still around. They are hard to see when everything's in full leaf, and they're so small and shy.

Ospreys are doing very well in South Cumbria. There are three nests within 3 miles of me and more apparently on private land that are being kept quiet. Some good news for British wildlife at least

There are lots more birds busy nesting, and I expect this one will try again. The woods are pretty joyful at the moment - carpets of bluebells, new buds etc. I try not to engage too much with the insanity of the rest of the world.

I don't know why this would surprise anyone. It's blatantly obvious Trump has no interest in democracy. He's said it and demonstrated it plenty of times. And for those hoping he'll meet his demise and then everything will be alright, Vance is waiting in the wings, and he's just as dangerous.
