I keep thinking about the Australian woman coming to visit her American military husband who was strip searched TWICE by CBP in Hawaii. There is no doubt in my mind that people acting under the auspice of ICE and CBP are committing sexual violence against the people they detain.

As others have said, what is important to understand is that those of us educated in the order of the 20th century have got to let those assumptions go. It’s time for people to lean into the chaos that these rulings/regime create and use them to advantage. A politics of Tricksterism is called for.

In LA, we have the right to film law enforcement in public spaces, as long as we do not interfere. Arturo Hermosillo says he was arrested for doing exactly that. He was in his van when he saw an older woman, a local tamale vendor, lying on the ground during an immigration raid & started recording.
