You give him credit for having some kind of moral sense he has done nothing to deserve. The opposite: If he is more aware of how vile this all is but collaborates as aggressively as in this interview, one can argue he is more culpable than the hopeless psychopaths he works with.

They likely don’t need to have anything “on” an ambitious entirely amoral piece of work for him to dance to whatever tune he thinks helps him.

I think it’s a shame that most Americans don’t realize that Washington’s presidency included an elaborate human trafficking scheme to avoid Philadelphia’s 6 month abolition law. www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/g...

I think the most frustrating thing when I think about it is the fact that people (myself included) grow up under the impression that Washington was "good" to his slaves. There is no good thing you can do for a slave but free them.

A bit of a tangent but Garabaldi getting asked to come lead a Union army and telling Lincoln “not unless this is about abolition” is one of my favorite historical facts, one of the all-time real ones

TFR for Nigeria 2010-2023, they might still be above replacement but my god that's a big drop in, oh look, almost 15 years. Maybe SSA isn't so unique after all

Yeah! Am surprised how early it is too hot and how late it remains too hot. From about 8.00 to about 19.00 according to my attempts to sit outside.
