And the murders & attempted murders were scarcely covered by British news channels for most of the night.

Even Basingstoke’s had bigger crowds.

Yep- and thanks to idiots like him (because that’s what he is) people like my 92yo mum have been off their Alzheimer’s meds for a month due to supply challenges. I’m left to ‘cope’ with the fallout from that.

The gift that keeps giving.

The joy of Brexit.
They did, keeping my fingers crossed as I really hope there’ll be another series. There are definitely some lose ends to tie up.

I’d have slept if I could 😀, (my mum has been off her Alzheimer’s meds for almost a month now -supply challenges, so life is a rollercoaster). I loved the acting, cinematography, sets, costume etc. The green/blue running from scene to scene was perfectly executed.

– Loyalist media amplifying fear
– Attempts to bait more unrest to justify harsher crackdowns
This isn’t law enforcement. It’s a power play.

Just getting them in the frame is a challenge 😆.
I don’t use the tc because they’re so eratic in flight that backed off with a wider field of view is better for me. If you’re too zoomed in- you lose them in the viewfinder. I’d be at almost 900mm with the tc and wouldn’t have time to react.

They did - though the male was getting chastised by corvids. Unfortunately river levels were quite low, but it’s a beautiful spot with lots of sand martins nesting in the banks of the river, a heronry with plenty of heron and egrets, oystercatcher & waterfowl. Just a shame it was dull and rainy.

Aw that’s lovely. I look out for them every year, and am so happy to see them return. We also have fields full of skylark- and air full of the sounds of spring.

Now following them there.

No need to apologise. It’s fine either way. I’m always a little jealous of people who write well. I seem to have lost the knack.

I haven’t. I will look it up 👍

Thanks - it’s a very heavy crop 😆. Tips- Lots of luck and lots of trial and error. Here’s one from the same day with the same settings. I would increase the shutter speed and the aperture if there’s enough light, to bring more of the bird into focus. Will have better advice when I land a better one

Yes me too. I love hearing and watching them dart around, whilst I try (and fail) to land a good image 😂

Thanks Nick ☺️. I’m always so pleased to see them closer- normally down here they’re way off 😆

Thanks Nick. Perfect conditions for a change 😄. I was late getting there too- and a good job or I’d have been long gone by when this light hit.

I need a ‘I’ve hugged trees since before it was fashionable’ tshirt 😂.
I love the soft bark and the noise it makes when you try to knock on it. Brings back memories of my dad ☺️. You should hug more trees- it doesn’t hurt anyone.

That’s lovely. We had a couple of them where grew up as a child and I always used hug one on the way to school.

Thank you. I had to be patient and wait quite a while for it to swim/float closer, into the the beautiful reflected light from the trees and reeds. I’m so glad it did 🙂
