Love disentangling a bunch of git branches from each other that were based on one massive line of commits but had no dependence on each other. A problem I caused of course but hey that was past me and they're stupid

Slowly forming an idea that much of What's Wrong With the Social Internet is an inability of some folks to distinguish between different categories of opinions. A lot of benign things (like preference or idiosyncrasies) get responded to as if there's a right and wrong when... there just isn't.

Let's address a couple things about masked ICE and DHS officers in tactical gear. 1. They're not "Proud Boys cosplaying as federal agents." Yes, there's crossover between LEO's and right-wing groups. Yes, these guys ARE real federal agents. You don't get onto an SRT without years of experience.

Unbelievably horrified by this attack in Boulder. We don’t know the full story of the attacker, but no matter what it is, let me be clear: Senseless, antisemitic attacks do not help Palestinians, Jews, or Israelis. Committing terror attacks against people standing for hostages is disgusting.

To be completely honest, I dont really get the insistence on the environmental argument against AI. Like as a certified Hater® of companies pushing AI, its energy use is just not the most pressing issue nor is it really a major contributor to global energy use overall (yet, admittedly)

There is zero ZEROOO doubt in my mind that AI cults are going to be huge. I don't mean, like, "I LOVE AI SAM ALTMAN IS SENPAI" I mean like, "I have used AI to tap into the deep secrets of the ancient, forgotten texts that tell the future and it tells me that /you/ have been /chosen/...to follow me."

My least favorite genre of posts is the "Why didn't they beat his ass" reply to a video of punks peacefully ejecting a boomer wearing a nazi t-shirt from a concert. Second guessing people on the ground is counter-productive. They got him out. The concert went on, no bad optics, no cop raid.
