Thank you, Constance. A memorable evening that I photographed from the start watching the colours develop. This was one of the final moments.

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Tbh not my usual type of image, it was for a theme on architecture at night.

Not cheating Sophie. Necessary when you get to my age! Probably why I photograph beach scenes these days. πŸ™„πŸ€£

Not sure why but I always find the view heading up the Glen more dramatic than coming down. πŸ€” You were lucky to find a spot to park! 🀣

Thank you Helen. Such are the sands of many Scottish west coast beaches. They're usually well washed by rain. 🀣

It was, thanks. Re: position πŸ€” Taken in winter. I have the whole evening sequence. Possibly further north in summer? Maybe depends where you're standing? I was Barricane end. Check out Woolacombe sunset images on google, there are lots of images with sun setting towards Baggy Point.

Thank you Ian. The whole evening was breathtaking. I have a series of images from soft tones to such intense colours that I couldn't believe the raw files were so dramatic.

Thank you. I lived in Ilfracombe from 2009 for a few years. Great coastline, and beaches.

Fame for Kilmun on Bluesky! πŸ‘πŸ˜Pretty area in the sunshine. My neck of the woods past 13 years.

Many thanks. Re your query, tbh I'm not sure. πŸ€” I'm guessing that they prefer plenty of light, which beech woodlands provide. This image was taken in North Devon. The bluebells here in Scotland, where forests tend to be more shaded, do well in open fields or along country lane roadside verges.

I hope his efforts were rewarded Sarah! Great shot.

Many thanks Mark. Appreciated. There's a glorious beach not far behind me, but sometimes looking inland can reap rewards.

True, though some of my similar or ICM images do well enough. Unpredictable πŸ€”. Never as well as a sunset though! πŸ™„ Friendly, appreciative crowd here on Bluesky however. πŸ‘πŸ˜

Thank you. We used to have family holidays in Woolacombe when I was a child. Alternate between there and Tenby. Croyde Bay is lovely too. All good memories. 😁

My kind of seascape Mark, though brave image to start with. πŸ‘πŸ˜

🀣 Often the case! Last February we had wind and rain most the time. πŸ™„
