Do you have some examples of where and when this happened? I haven't heard of this before. Thanks.

Audacity for multi-track audio editing turned 24 this year. Another incredible project!

All such stories are likely a case of, " Orson Welles' 1938 War of the Worlds" where reports of believers are greatly exaggerated.

I can't really imagine any such "real" accounts. I was 15 in a programming class when I was introduced to ELIZA and while interesting, it wasn't even remotely convincing even to my adolescent brain (nor any of my fellow students).

Definitely agree with all of this. I require corrective lenses before it's useful to me! This can't come fast enough!

Maybe a crisis of imagination, but I can't really imagine all that much wide spread, pervasive appeal for virtual environments. I think more likely useful to me at least is AR (augmented reality) like the Meta Rayban glasses enhanced with AI insights. Seems very compatible for vision assistance!

I'm not sure encryption is helpful on the eve of the quantum apocalypse. I think it's safer to simply consider everything you have ever posted anywhere will eventually be exposed to public scrutiny.

Excellent observation on how to do my next murder, but my real insight from this is, where has they concept of "goat rodeo" been my whole life? TIL my new favorite phrase! ❤️ 🐐 🤠

Sounds like a version of "When did you stop beating your wife?" I don't know any left-leaning people who are hateful towards anyone. That's literally a tenant of the philosophy; love, kindness and compassion for all.

Let's all try to do better. Not because this post is wrong, but there are so many more fact based, valid and devestating critiques you could make about Ted without childish ad hominem.

No worries. No marijuana in the casinos but people smoking indoors is common in the casinos. I couldn't gamble if I wanted to (which I don't) because it was overwhelming.

I was there in May. Definitely not an issue in casinos but surprisingly to me the cigarette smoke is still pretty overwhelming on the floor. I don't really recall smelling marijuana anywhere outside walking around that was worthy of note.

Salvage 1, Harry (Andy Griffith) runs a salvage operation, in which he and his partners reclaim trash and junk and sell it as scrap (or as other things). Harry also has a home-made spaceship which he sometimes uses to reclaim junk satellites.

Only to get hit right in the back (on the golf bag I was still carrying, thankfully). To add insult to injury, the impact knocked me down and as I hit the ground, every club spilled out of the bag into the back of my head like an Episode of the Three Stooges! #i-quit

At 16 years old, the first and last time I ever engaged in this ridiculous activity, I shanked a ball and had to walk across the fairway to retrieve. I hear somone scream, "fore" and see this tiny white heat seeking missile tracking straight for me. I turn tail and break off at a full run...

Seems like possibly overfitting. I'll often like things I disagree with because I thought the argument, while wrong was well stated or I appreciate hearing a completely different perspective by which I still remain unconvinced. Other reasons, but it's too early and I haven't had enough coffee!

The "look like a broke down ho" comment is pretty easily identifiable as vile and should be easy for everyone to condemn.

Not to quibble, but I don't think he believes any of these people (including himself) are "wrongly accused". He knows they are all rightly accused, but believes they should be able to "get away with it" because of who/what they are.
