All the GPs & SHOs & SpRs struggling to find posts could safely bring down GP & hospital waiting lists, a lot more efficiently than outsourcing. 1 year rolling contracts. More theatres/ GPs.

Do you know if PA/ AA funding is being ringfenced to preferentially push/ promote these roles? We're unclear how resident training doctor places are being cut yet PAs/ AAs appear to be increasibg in numbers.

Is anyone fighting to ensure less extortionate (national) PFI contracts if these are being pushed onto us instead of using Govt bonds to rebuild the defunded over past 15 years acute beds.

Lovely before & after (supposed hair transplant, plastic surgery, testosterone) photos of him on the site he claimed he founded, highlighting his opposition of those supposed procedures for some. Perhaps he's overdone the supposed hormones?

Policy of prior Govt & seemingly also @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social is:
- starve UK of access to trained GPs, cutting funds by 20%!
- force free less-trained roles into surgeries
GPs go through 10+ years of study & in work training & exams to be SAFER at managing public health than PAs/ nurses.

The area under the curve might be the same for Spain, just later. Shameful nonetheless, especially when pandemic precautions were dismantled, bypassed for moneymaking enterprises or misunderstood.

If we pay Guardian subscriptions, can they be ring-fenced for Observer or can we show a preference for Observer? @theguardian.com

We have well trained GPs without jobs whilst ARRS delivers less trained substitutes, a fatal false economy. Please bring back our GPs @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social

Not being able to report on clear war crimes is not helping the state of the world. (Obviously referring to the gaza journalism blockade).

Strictly you can choose to turn up at different places eg gym, pool, library, kind friend or family, rather than suffer a stressful situation, if it's too much for now.

It's very human to regret. I wish I could step into the past, help someone dear be healthier for longer. Fight harder for help they needed. Avoid my own mistakes. But only have perspective from the too late time, no foresight. Maybe focus on the moments you had that you would have missed otherwise?

It's step 1 in justifying the inhumane treatment that is likely to come their way. Illegal. Taking jobs/ housing. Forgetting we're making a fortune from selling weapns to x country, taking resources cutprice too. Plus we sold them expensive courses/ underpaid jobs to come.

As doctors, we are fearful of the wake of mistakes likely to be made by many MAPs with large gaps in their training vs doctors. Often unaccredited courses, no rigorous exams. Lots of doctor-lite routes to working in doctor roles. Fatal?

Particularly liked the reminder of the undersized techbro reaching for the moon to hide his inadequacies. Lovely work there.

Thames Water's dire state (90% owned by 4 pension & 4 overseas investment funds). Weak regulation, exploitative privatisation, financial mismanagement. Dividends should be reclaimed & investors & OfWat fined for wilful destruction & neglect of essential assets.

Envt Agency accused of lame investigation. 501 permit breaches from 4 STW & 3 PS. United Utilities refusing phosphorus data & trying to undermine analyses from public data. They should be fined to the tune of 100s of millions to pay to fix their damage.

Was hoping this wasn't the UK. How do they know if someone is having GI issues/ urinary infection/ heavy bleeding? Why such humiliating heavyhandedness?

Once went to a version of Macbeth where he was a pub landlord. At lunchtime. Given a shot on way in. Given sandwiches at Banquo's feast.

Slightly less Italian a response! (From the petty racist not yourself).
For some reason EM reminds me of Agamemnon but I imagine that's doing the latter a profound disservice.

That is a very wonderful story. Homer's Iliad viewed from the Gods. And Hermes being the God of Thieves as well as Literature. The author's comments were truly Italian. I love it!
