I feel kinda bad for these bands. Somewhere, there's an audience for them, but it's not here, and they probably won't get booked again, at least not for another year or two. Draw is king - someone tell that to Tony Khan...

The bands themselves, and the music they play, aren't bad at all. Some really talented musicians in there. But in a tourist trap town, that music has very, very little audience. They want the Classic Rock - Hair Metal - Disco - Grunge - Party Music. Classic Country b-sides pre-1960, not so much.

Some of the bands that come through misread the room, big time. They get together because of what they see as a lack of bands playing the music they want to hear. The problem is, only them and maybe like 6 other people want to hear it, mostly their SOs. Shows are ghost towns.

This one will almost assuredly get the click for going against the general alt text consensus, but seriously: you gotta back of with the whole being pushy about it thing. You're turning more people off than you're teaching.

One band previously used the name (and logo, for some weird reason) Metal Edge, which was of course a heavy metal magazine back in the 80s and 90s. While it's not published at present, the name and marks are still actively owned. They changed it, though, so there's that.

This is true. It's main stage entertainment.

Of course it's not Industrial: Does he know how much records from that genre go for these days?!? Like, you can't get anything KMFDM for less than $40-50 unless it's a current release. And forget trying to get Ministry or Skinny Puppy on vinyl, that's an investment...
