Because the vast majority of people are absolute morons with a pathological fetish for violence, laziness, and mindless consumerism...

Sorry Caroline, this is utter bollocks...

Blimey! You really hate the guy!!! Haha, ok, suits yourself! Shame tho, because I don't think you are being objective... As I alluded to above, I do think Zack is an honest and thoroughly nice fellow, and if I'm wrong, I'll stand corrected!
comment in response to post
Do you really think Zack is the same as the "Farage of your side"? Seriously? As dishonest, unprincipled, hypocritical? Do you realise he's far, far more likely to care about fixing bicycle lanes and potholes than pretty much any other politicians?
comment in response to post
Farage is an overt populist... He has mad policies... And I wouldn't say he's "irrelevant"...

Fig leaf isn't big enough I'm afraid....

Well... Given that the word "antisemitism" has completely been hollowed out of its actual meaning, you may be right... Nevertheless, I do think Corbyn and Zack are very different people and Zack will be far more resilient against attacks of this kind...

It seems not all rich people are born the same... And guess which kind does Rachel love to pander to?

Do they really chant that??? Do you have a vid of it?

Can't wait to see that pair of radical ecosocialists on Springwatch replaced by Nigel or Richard...

Corbyn was a totally different beast... Also, a bit trickier to accuse a Jew of being antisemitic...

How did that work out for you?

Apparently there's nothing to worry... They're all in "good spirits"...

Shouldn't a professional journalist verify that a claim has any validity before asking questions about it?

No, that unionists are identified with brexit and republican with rejoining is not a conjecture, it's been happening already: the shift to leaving the union is a direct evidence I do agree that the numbers are disappointing tho. But I'm still confident: it's gonna happen, just a matter of time 😜
comment in response to post
Conjecture...?
comment in response to post
That may be true, but most people in northern Ireland are for rejoining the EU, regardless of what side of the fence they sit on, and in a lot of people mind, a vote for union is a vote for Brexit And that's exactly how republican parties would campaign
comment in response to post
It's the same as for Scotland independence: a lot of people who would ideally prefer independence still voted for the union purely on financial arguments But I don't believe these numbers: an actual referendum would be almost entirely fought over Brexit, and that would completely shift the balance
comment in response to post
That's nowhere near an accurate picture A referendum on reunification would be fought over Brexit and rejoining the EU If a campaign were to start, masses of moderate unionists/protestants would be split and the old balance would totally detail

Maybe... What can I say... I want it all, and I want it now!

I'm sorry Owen, But this is a bit petty and childish... We need to be mature adults and recognise that there's an institutional role that top officials must adhere to, which may go beyond and occasionally be in conflict with their personal opinions and positions

both Tory and Labour parties credibility is in tatters... I don't see this changing anytime soon, no matter what Bojo, Starver and Kermit do or think...

Are the ones responsible for the catastrophic British privatisation bonanza going to be held responsible for the damage they caused?

I'm discovering that my gut reaction to the world may be because it is used almost exclusively as a negative one in Italian Fyi this is what chatgpt has to say about it And I would still question it: there's so many good words in English, why using one which can evoke such a negative perception?
comment in response to post
The world "populist" is frequently (mostly) used with negative connotation: populists would be people like Farage, Trump, Milei, Berlusconi... I do get what Zack is going for, but the choice of words do matter, especially in politics
comment in response to post
There's a world of difference between being "popular" and "populist" mate One can be popular without necessarily being a populist
