Newspapers now have near-zero ability to sway elections, including The Australian.
They should, therefore, have near-zero ability to sway politicians, not to mention public servants and the ABC.

So surprise surprise a review of AUKUS is underway by the lunatic in the WH.
The capacity of the US Navy to deliver was always a major problem.
Perhaps the newest recipient of the OAM could provide some clarity on contract cancellation clause by either party.

They’ve also cut the $480,000 arts grant … Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh is responsible … an absolute disgrace of a human with all the Trumpian lack of care or decency for the Environment and the Arts 🫣

I find it extraordinary that both the UK and the US have announced inquiries into #AUKUS and their ability to deliver it and the impact on their capability.
Yet Australia, the only nation that is paying doesn’t have an inquiry into this undeliverable, woefully governed expensive program.

Australians fund the ABC. We deserve fearless, independent journalism — not spin. If Kim Williams, Justin Stevens, and the Board won’t uphold the ABC’s charter, they should resign. Public trust isn’t theirs to betray. We’re not paying for propaganda.

ABC Chair Kim Williams, the Board, and News boss Justin Stevens aren’t just asleep at the wheel — they’re steering the public into a fog of propaganda. They're paid handsomely to serve the public, but instead, they serve the powerful. It’s a betrayal of the ABC’s charter.
