What are we saying here, that men are only fit to have children and are too emotional for any other purpose?

No, he definitely is. Francois is a different kind of stupid. He's unintelligent, sure, but he's also interpersonal stupid but smart enough to know others know more than him, and follows their lead (not realising of course that they're dumb as fuck too). Hannan is too stupid to know he's stupid.

If I was asked, "Who is the stupidest politician of the last decade?" Hannan would definitely be a strong contender. What an absolute spanner!

It's worth noting that those who supported the Jewish community included the Irish dockers (immigrants), trade unionists, socialists and communists. The police clashed with the anti fascists and eventually Mosely and his BUF had to abandon their march. By 1939, the BUF had become a proscribed group.

Saw it t'other night (the film). One word, "indomitable."

Personally, I think that Scotland is better off under Labour than the Tories, but that's not the point anymore, whether Westminster is working for us or not. Boris proved how appaling Westminster can be. So now it's obvious that Scotland is better off under Holyrood than anyone in Westminster.

Fun fact. In the Battle of Cable Street in London 1936 when Moselys British Union of Facists tried to march through a predominantly Jewish area but were met with resistance the women threw the contents of their piss pots out of the windows onto the fascists. Best way to treat a fascist imho.

I honestly don't believe anyone can have a good call with Trump, but I understand you must be diplomatic.

"Have they broken international law again?" Is what I think you meant to say.

What does he expect to find that wasn't in the last one? Fucks sake, launch an inquiry into institutional misogyny in the police instead!

I take it the government hasn't sorted out the issue that caused Grenfell yet? It's only been 8 years, after all!

Reminds me of the time the Tory government didn't find any interference in the referendum by the Russians.

That's what I'm saying, which is why fighting misogyny is important for transpeople. So add it to the hate crimes list.
comment in response to

Misogyny is the tool we can use to help transwomen, ironically, as well as transphobia.

I am cool, well right up until the point you told me to cool down. I'm making a level-headed point. I really don't care what Cooper hasn't done. If MPs keep badgering her, whether from the government or opposition benches, then she might clock its an issue that has to be tackled.

are protected specifically. This is the type of shite TERFs latch on to, and in this instance I'm with them. Protect women from hate crime because they're women, whether cis or trans and protect trans folk whether women or men from the hate crime of being trans. Why is misogyny not a hate crime?
comment in response to
post
I agree hate crime against transwomen (because they're women as opposed to hate crime because they're trans - they face bigotry on two fronts - is misogyny) but don't you think a sitting MP who is adding an amendment for some women to be protected specifically should add another so all women

Do we have hate crime legislation against women (misogyny)?

Quick question: Is it a criminal offence in Scotland too?
comment in response to

No, you don't want the Tories to implode into oblivion, however delightful that thought is. You want them to be just credible enough (with their potential supporters) to split the right wing vote with Reform such that neither win.
comment in response to

I'm sure it's not the only electoral process in history like that tbh. But the Tories do seems to be involved in many that are, the brigands!

They're not even smart at business ffs! Trump has had 6 bankruptcies and Musk has has wiped billions of his own business due to personal failings.

So the questions are: When does freedom of speech become grooming, and are the populists, tech oligarchs, and other bad actors grooming the population? At this point in time, it feels like the answer is very much yes, which is why the populists are such voceriferous proponents of free speech!
