For what it's worth, I think the evidence for the advantages of 'ADHD meds' suggests they probably outweigh the risks (likely by a long way) even though I think the science on ADHD as a whole construct is a little ropy.

I'd only been a teacher for a couple of years when the fidget spinner craze took off.
It presented an interesting dilemma for teachers aiming to be neuro-affirming and have accessible classrooms.
I hope some of the right lessons were learned.
