The establishment have clearly settled on their next leader it seems, and journalists are expected to follow suit.
Stand up for yourselves FFS.

Personally I didn't even want Labour to win that election.
I shouldn't be here defending them, but the bias coverage we're starting to see in favour of reform is so undemocratic it's disgusting.

The BBC tried to play Reform losing in Scotland as a win for Reform.
Reform spent 💩 loads of money to win the seat and they still lost and yet the BBC claimed it was a secret "win for Reform".

Reform have their own TV channel in GBnews. The majority of British people still don't vote for them and the people that don't vote for them hate them.
Labour are "popular" by the same polls and I hate some of the coverage they get, but this is something else.

Although to be fair, finding American political commentators that aren't insane at this point is a hard task in of itself so I do get it in a way.

So why have they invited on a lady whose just said Mark Carney (ex head of the bank of England) is some sort of secret socialist, and implied the Chinese communist party controlled him in some way.
Like I'm all for a bit of balance and hearing a plethora of different views, but this 💩 is insane.

You seriously think the US is going to invade the UK as a result of a twitter poll?

"The problem with the left is they alienate everyone who doesn't agree with everything they think" - Right wingers who support a man trying to cancel one of their own, who in fact just sucked up to him but said he didn't agree with everything he says.

Authenticity and charisma to a degree sure absolutely, but wth is she doing with the "devolution" (that centralises everything??) bill?
It'd so undemocratic.
New mayors with new powers?
Sure.
But removing representation from local communities by lumping them together?

I love in the UK. I am not a fan of Brexit, and yet my side lost the debate specifically because the anti-Brexit crowd said essentially it would be the end of the world or the UK at least.
All that did was push people further away. People want an alternative of hope, not hate and despair.

I'm not saying don't mobilise, we need to more than ever, just this ain't the way to do it. This is literally the type of 💩 that helped him win.

What are you talking about, you sound like a Qanoner.
I'm not out to get you my guy, but setting Hitler as a low bar to beat only helps Trump. All be has to do is not be Hitler and his fans will claim they were right and you were wrong.
Wait for him to inevitably make a mistake and attack.

I think we need to stop panicking and reacting like this. It's exactly what they want you to do.
They are now the ones who have to deal with the various challenges facing the US, if you are confident their ideas/politics are bad, let them fail and hold them accountable. I know I am and will.

If that's the case bacon should also have a label (although to be clear I don't think it should) but it is really carcinogenic, bad for your health and the environment.
That said, the allure of bacon is hard to resist!

This is the same clown who attacks all Muslims for the actions of a few extremists, yet he'll kiss MBS's arse (the self appointed caliph whose family backs extremist groups) at the first chance he gets because he admires the power he wields.
That and they have the exact same taste (or lack of).

He literally praised tyrants specifically for the amount of power they had to do what they want. How could anyone frame that as not wanting to be a dictator?
Although having said that, wanting to be a dictator and actually being one are different things.

Honestly there was a program on TV called "Ozzy and Drix" which I'm sure anti-vaxxers would instantly dismiss, but it genuinely explains what vaccines are and how white blood cells function better than most information on COVID during the pandemic did.

...and then being expected to pay the same amount again, if not more, purely for dlc (which is sometimes removed if the game is no longer streamed) takes the Mick.

If we could get a decent subscription that gave everyone access to everything, I'm sure at least some people would think about it, but paying 10-30 pounds/dollars a month...

The fact pharmaceutical companies tried to use COVID as a way to present themselves in a positive light is so wrong, but it was also the one time they actually did work together to do the right thing...for completely the wrong reasons, and despite that being the bare minimum expected of them.

Thing is I hate exploitative pharma-bro corporations, governments forcefully telling people to do x,y and z, and those putting dodgy chemicals into what we eat/drink etc, but the fact is, you can oppose all of those things and still understand the very basic, GCSE level science behind vaccines.

Being a good businessman has f-all to do with running an economy, but the fact is, he's not even a good businessman.
He had everything, handed to him on a plate. If banks gave ordinary people the money it gave Trump to open a casino in Atlantic city that somehow failed, business would be booming rn

I thought you guys were (and quite rightfully) proud of breaking away from the elitism of Monarchy?
Why replace it with the same thing but with corporations and suits?

This is largely just speculative waffle.
Ratings are mostly down because no one is paying for yet another subscription to a streaming service, and are instead streaming it illegally online. 1 stream = 1 view (and maybe not even that) despite how many people might actually be watching it.

And enterprise that generates goods or services that help people, and/or reduce the cost of living, provide amenities etc.
Can also easily stay undeclared and out of the tax system.
Crypto is just another scam for the rich to pocket money at everyone else's expense.
comment in response to

There is no way that offsets the extreme amount of energy used to create cryptocurrency.
Also doesn't excuse the fact that crypto is just a statistics that provides nothing other than it's perceived value.
The money wasted/invested on this scam could have created countless opportunities and jobs.

*as long as some of the proceeds of the profits are trickling down
But increasingly the elite invest in speculative values and pump and dump scams to make ludicrous profits - because it works. Why wouldn't they do that in their shoes? It's a no-brainer for them.
comment in response to

The whole purpose of government is to stand up for its citizens, not endless economic growth for a very elite few at the expense of ordinary people.

Russia's GDP has "surprisingly" (to some British news/economic publications) increased since the "Special military operation" (i.e. invasion) of Ukraine, and yet the cost of living has substantially increased?
Why should the average Russian care about that "economic growth"?
comment in response to
post
Only that doesn't make any sense.
Where does the money trickle down to when the elite invest increasingly in speculative assets that don't produce jobs and waste huge amounts of energy like cryptocurrency?
Where is the money coming from for ordinary people?
comment in response to

And there is nothing wrong with that, as long as the money is trickle down and giving something back to people...

It is speculative. You may view it as you have and so may a lot of people but some may evaluate it from a completely different perspective leading to a completely different analysis.
comment in response to

It's determined by how much is currently invested in it, speculation on its future has nothing to do with it's current value, despite them being somewhat interdependent on each other...

What do you mean? If the price of idk energy or food is increased because of its market value, it absolutely has an economic impact.
Whether you think we should do something about it is another matter.
What do you personally consider as "economic impact"? I may well agree with you.

There could well be someone who looks at Stevens "content" online who has cancer and tries to treat it with a keto diet and dies as a result.
These types of snake oil merchants have 0 shame or awareness of the damage they are doing.

This guy would legitimately fail GCSE science. Which would be fine if he wasn't spouting garbage about science he doesn't understand to millions of viewers.
I've had to speak to people that listen to this type of crap before. You'd get more sense ramming your head against a brick wall.
