The UN depends on the active commitment of the US, and not only for money; but the US is mired in myopic nationalism and self-interest. And not only the US.

Even in such a horrible case, no person is only the worst thing they have ever done. Human dignity must be upheld, and not by killing. Necessary accountability for such crimes can be accomplished without killing another person. If we can summon the moral will to do so.
