The lack of player movement leaguewide before and during Friday’s first round meant the only deal the Hurricanes could make was their annual trade down with the Blackhawks. But moves are coming, if not during the second day, then around July 1. They have to be. www.newsobserver.com/sports/spt-c...

Saw at least one mock draft that had Ivan Ryabkin going in the top 10. Hurricanes take him at 62. A no-doubt first-round talent with a ton of red flags (effort, conditioning, attitude) but at this point in the draft you can freely take the risk and hope you can coach him up.
