If a didn’t know how to code I suppose a full vibe session would have taken longer. But given some basic JavaScript knowledge and some common sense it was a breeze. I don’t know why everyone on BlueSky is so down on LLMs. 🤷♂️

Hahahaha so true.

It’s awful. I will think up the most insane domain name that I don’t even like for a project and somehow somebody will be holding it for ransom (often times for 20+ years).

Lots of progress today. I’m still working out colors. I think I want to have a set of 3 that are pop art/primary and a set that’s a bit more earth tone/MCM.
I have JFK LAX SFO ORD IAH ATL done. Just need to establish the colors and apply to each airport.
Might actually hit my EOD FRI goal!

Watching protectionists learn what “global supply chain” means in real time is my favorite reality show.

Ahh ok. ChatGPT seems to do an amazing job of including accurate text in the images. Night and day compared to mid journey.

What did you create this in? The text looks amazing.

Nobody loves Ted Lasso because of how funny it is. I think there’s a misunderstanding here.

Where is the affordable, well designed, privacy focused alternative? How has nobody done this?

It’s good! I took a break and went to Paris but I’m back at it this week.

Either way good progress for a Sunday morning extra credit project. Also, I finally figured out how to wrangle Illustrator into behaving more like Figma when it comes to color themes and objects. It’s not intuitive, but it’s working.

I think I’ll have to do a full overhead panel and see what it looks like with text on/off. To me, a pilot, it feels like it’s half done in this state. It’s perhaps more interesting as art and less literal, but the point of this project is to create things aviation enthusiasts would like.

I really enjoyed it too!

It’s cool, but also can be annoying. Maybe not what you mean, but imagine I ask a question about Tim Ferris. Later I ask for the best podcasts on coding. Tim’s podcast appears, despite being tangentially related at best. This happens all the time. It’s like GPT tells me what it thinks I want to hear

Ok I’m calling this done for now. We will see what it looks like printed and after working on colors. I also started a very early phonetic alphabet concept. And I found airport surface boundaries and centerlines! Lots of work to do.

This feels a little too real, and I read a lot of The Onion.

Day 5 is over. While I am excited about the subway map progress, it isn’t done. I’m going to shelve it for now and pursue some quicker wins. Momentum and good vibes are important for this experiment. Tomorrow I’m going to see if I can get some text-based designs 100% done. I have some fun ideas!
