I saw this news item, then Ms. Öztürk's name, and a photo of a woman in a headscarf. I rejoiced. I wondered what vile dictatorship we negotiated her release from—until I saw. In my day, the USA were the ones negotiating for this wonan's freedom. I'm still getting used to seeing them as the jailers.
