My world, my rules. Pros - thinking about it. Cons - has zero housekeeping skills and doesn't care. Lovely or not, it'll be your choice to make.

I agree, if they want to claw their way back they need Cleverly for the middle ground but the members have gone rabid.

They must be, maybe they're waiting to see how bad conference is.

Alec has been in that patch for around 20 years, city councillor and MP including through a boundary change - they like him but i dont see him bailing.

Alec has always come over as a "reasonable" tory and he seems to work hard for his area but I dont see him jumping ship, I th8nk he would be more likely to just walk away at next GE.

Friend of mine who lives in Brighton told me a few things about him years ago, he's not welcome shall we say.

There's not much said about the 3 paying passengers, its more about the guy who owned the company and people who worked for/with him. Its an eye opener.

You know how good female sense of ick is...well he gives me serious ick and always has. Can't and won't watch him, he comes across smarmy and sleezy and definitely not humorous funny.

Fuck off, its the titanic submarine guy 😂...I'm not getting saved am I.

Yes definitely. There's a lot I didn't know.

Reported by UK msm.

They show some of that and interview most of those involved.

Interesting that Alec Shelbrooke is mentioned and quoted. His constituency is surrounded by Labour and Lib dem and although there's some very traditional wealthy tory areas, they're not reform types.

Its quite something isn't it. I was particularly left with the influencer who cried talking about being in there a few days before and the Scottish guy who whistleblew on him.
comment in response to post
It's more than that. I can't quite sum him up because he's so far outside of anyone I've ever encountered.
comment in response to post
He employed some amazing people and then ignored them.
comment in response to post
I knew a fair bit but watch this and there'll be even more that makes you shake your head in disbelief. He had some incredibly smart knowledgeable people working for him but he wasn't prepared to listen to them.
comment in response to post
I'll wait to see what you think when you've watched but my take is a combination of entitled, bully, batshit and not prepared to listen to anyone.
comment in response to post
Absolutely, very strange guy who owned it all.
comment in response to post
I'll say nothing so no spoilers but bloody hell... I'm not sure how to describe the guy who owned/headed it all up - if it wasn't for the loss of life I'd just say it was bizarre.

Ive no idea what they're doing but it seems they are literally just doing our street, there's no signs on the roads leading off from it. Anyway, we will be all shiny and new.

😂 According to the leaflet we need to drive on it to help bed it in although im guessing not straight away.
comment in response to post
Proper resurfacing but with some resin type stuff not tarmac. So it levels it, fills potholes etc but they dont have to burn off (I've read the leaflet).

Its 2025 and they are sending cables on what they may or may not be doing. Its the muddle east, systems and measures should have been (are) in place for years.

I forgotten he was a happy clappy evangelical type.

He did a whole hour show in and around Malham showcasing how brave and fit he was and we were all "there's a 4 abreast path there, no need to crawl through undergrowth mate". He just embarrassed himself in serious caving country.

Soundbites sound good and 99% of the population don't and can't think beyond.

They wont achieve the social housing targets - purchase of land alone will eat up most of that budget. If not hotels then where ? Also hospitality on its arse and tbh its keeping some hotels open and staff employed and hotel chains financially afloat.
comment in response to post
Hmmmm I'm not surprised but kind of disappointed if that makes sense. There's a lot of it about though (in different ways) as @k1ng1e.bsky.social alluded to yesterday.
