These days, I diligently reject cookies. It takes time but now have fewer intrusions from ads/spam/scams. What's in it for them? I view favourably sites making it easy to reject all. Those taking me on a long journey through the numerous 'legitimate interests' out there, go on my mental black list.

Once dropped into a salon in Ediburgh for a cut. Could see me but a small wait - would I do a customer questonnaire while I waited? To "What do you dislike about going to the hairdresser?", I answered "Inane small-talk" Hair cut followed in stony silence. Memo to self: Be kinder to service staff.
