This time yesterday, I was helping Bell get up on the bed. She would "yell" at me until I went to bed so we could snuggle. Today, she is gone and I have to sleep without her for the first time in 12 years.

For 12 years, Bell has slept with me every night. Tonight is the last night I will have her with me. Tomorrow, she crosses the bridge. I am heartbroken.

My Weim, Belle, is 14, blind and deaf. She has really slowed down - her appetite has decreased and she sleeps a lot. But, when she needs to go out, she does not care if it is raining. Now I have to go out and help her up the back steps. I am happy to do that for her.

Tell me again that climate change is not real. It is 7:36 p.m. at my house and it's 93 degrees in May.

I have to confess, I have never been a fan of white chocolate. But, my Daughter-in-law made what she called orange creamcicle cookies with the afore said white chocolate. Oh my, are they good!!!

It is almost 8:45 p.m. I am not ready to go to bed. But, Belle (my dog) is already in bed and every 30 seconds or so yells at me to come to be too. Sigh.

I made my last trip to @Lowes today. I needed a/c filters, got them and headed to pay for them. No cashiers. Only self checkout. So, I paid for them at "customer service" after having to wait almost 20 minutes for the one employee to finish with another customer.

I live in NE FL and just got a proposed bill for "Solid Waste Collection" for $324.00 per year. This will be in addition to my property taxes. I am not pleased.

I am having a yard sale tomorrow. It starts at 9 am, but I have set my alarm for 5 am. Why? Because my almost 14 yo blind girl, Belle, takes about an hour before she decides I can help her out of bed. And I have to put out all the stuff. Time must be allowed.

Wow, does Belle have me trained. For several months, she has convinced me that she can't get up the steps to the house by herself. So, she goes out and then barks for me to come help her up. Well, today she went out, did her thing, and barked to come back in. But, by the time I got out there /1

Why do I keep getting emails from David Hogg's PAC asking for money? I never asked to be contacted by his PAC?

It's only 8:45 pm. My dog has already gone to be and is yelling at me to come to bed too. Sigh.

I went to Walmart today. I needed to get coffee. Publix sells a box of 12 pods of my coffee for more than $11. I can get a box of 24 at Walmart for $15.47. The cool thing was how uncrowded it was. I love being able to shop on weekdays now that I am retired!!!

I spent $52.25 (before tax) at the grocery store today. I bought 5 things, yes 5: a rotisserie chicken, buttermilk, dressing mix, wet and dry dog food. The chicken cost 7.99, which will feed me for 3 days. The dog food was $19.79 for the wet and $19.59 for the dry.

Retirement: I retired at the end of January. For the first part of Feb I still woke up at about 5:30 every morning - stressed. Now, I sleep until 6, 6:30 and, on occasion until 7:00. I don't wake up in the middle of the night worrying about the next day. Peaceful is good.

The worst thing about the first day of "daylight savings" time is how fast is passes. My brain is telling me is 1:30, but the clock indicates 2:30.

I went to the grocery store today so I don't have to go again until late next week. Except, I forgot to get dog food, so now I have to go back tomorrow. Sigh.

Anyone else have an issue with @Amazon totally ignoring their delivery instructions? Mine state that deliveries must be before 5:00 p.m. Yet, my latest purchase is to be delivered between 7:30 and 10:00 p.m.

There is something special when going out my back door, there were 4 cats on my deck (I have 1 inside cat) - all from next door. Once again Weezy worked her magic and one of the now 5 cats, got brave enough to let me pet. Weezy is always up for being petted while she talks to me.

Got my first SS payment today, with a totally unexpected $723 deduction. So, I call SS and, after being on hold (bad music) for an hour, a person gets on the phone. Asks my first name. Done. Asks for last name. Just as I am about to spell it, the end of call survey starts. Back to square 1.
