Another word to avoid: transactional. It's a term of art, not generally understood, and sounds more benign than the situation calls for

When gang kingpins and terrorists are captured, aren't there perp walks and major news stories on all the media outlets?

Is this what those coercive EOs, to bind law firms to him, are for? To replace the government attorneys who quit or are fired with free top-flight outside counsel?

Or big safety pins? 8 yrs ago people wore them in public to signify they were protectors, when Muslims/gay folks/whoever were being harassed or assaulted

Wear a symbol. Flag pin upside down. Black arm band, or a black lapel ribbon if that isn't already claimed. If all Dems boycott, that will happen every year regardless of the urgency, ditto for booing or heckling

If foreign nations pay our tariffs, then how much does our Treasury remit to other countries to pay their tariffs? How much does Congress budget to cover those costs? (PS I know this is a crock)

It likely would depend on whether the actions he insists upon serve or counter the needs of the uber wealthy. And he can be extremely stubborn about having his own way. But is he proofing his admin picks against any efforts to unseat him via the 25th? Been wondering.

How susceptible is T to be 25thed out of office? Will he have enough truly loyal people appointed, or can enough be "persuaded" to join JDV in removing him from office? And would it succeed in Congress, assuming T fights back? (Or is a credible threat of the 25th enough to bring T in line?)

Also, winding up folks about Greenland, as if that's a real thing that could happen, takes the focus off of the "President Musk" chatter. People need to stop chasing every squirrel he sets loose

I suspect the actual tariff is simply added into the cost of the product as it is marked up each time it moves through the distribution chain, and then the retail customer will also pay whatever sales tax on the fully marked up tariff, though if this is not right I am happy to be corrected

comment in response to post
Do I understand that the retail price on the tariffed suit includes mark-up on the tariff? Is it full mark-up or partial? Or is that unclear? Thanks
