It’s too late in the season to consider buying asparagus.
I do everything I can to buy vegetables grown in the UK, and it’s always a short-lived pleasure to eat asparagus grown 10 miles away.
Ditto green beans from Kenya or Peru etc etc.
Eating seasonally is good.
