💯 they learned nothing at all and continue to ignore the moment

If you speak Trumpian, you’ll recognize the backhanded denigration of Canada thrown in at the end, trying to reframe Canadians as children not fighters. Always creating the narrative that suits him best.

It’s a great opp for people in ed tech. (I used to be in “ed tech” back in the day) Teaching “critical thinking” is a holy grail in education but it’s hard to “teach”. The topics have to be tied to state curriculum but a “packaged” AI exploration & navigation on topic would be a great tool.

I love this but one in ten teachers would be able to “make their own”, if that. One in ten would be interested.

Ah, well, as a life-long non-enthusiast of soups, I have this year decided that Ramen soups made with homemade chicken broth must be mastered. So

To be fair, soulless mindless entities running government IS what I see, so the robotic rampage has clearly continued
comment in response to post
Wait! Perhaps robotic “soulless mindless entities” are continuing their governmental rampage!?! Patel & Bongino - clearly replaced with mindless robots who no longer blame the FBI for everything. Noem (who used to have a normal face)- clearly replaced by an S&M soulless mindless entity! Yikes! đŸ€–

Why are we not discussing *daily* that Trump lives in a completely fabricated reality? Where his spun narratives are combined with little snippets of objective fact to create a self-glorifying fantasy world. I mean
.”lunatic” is nearly a euphemism

The “opportunity” to implement Project 2025 with less corruption, chaos and cruelty has also been there. And it’s likely the more threatening route for the US as the demolition would be much “quieter”

I believe this because a full size Dalmatian is known to claim an entire king size bed, in attitude if nothing else.

What percentage of Albertans do not vote? Who are not engaged politically for whatever reason? This is an important group to reach

Well the scuttlebutt is that Cardinal George told Bishop Barron who told CBS that “until America goes into political decline, there won’t be an American pope.” So if Trump got the Church thinking along those lines, he deserves some credit

It has definitely always been there. It just found its wings

You know, it could also be that my brain simply hasn’t adjusted to recognize massive kleptocratic corruption and the power grabs necessary to sustain it. In that light, it all makes complete sense.

West coast cities all the way to Mexico may be in for housing price corrections if tariffs bring the anticipated economic shock, supply remains steady or rises, mortgage rates stay high (esp in the US) & demand remains low. Just saying, circumstances for a downward price adjustment exist.
comment in response to post
That’s incredible

A 1:00 am Moscow time presser is a message to Trump, right?
comment in response to post
True. Nonetheless it *could* exist as libertarian policy. I can imagine another politician “pulling it off” with less “open vulgarity” & more “quiet tone” inherent cruelty. Project 2025 doesn’t require the govt to send people to a foreign torture prison for life without due process. That’s “extra”
comment in response to post
No argument on the evil part!
comment in response to post
I’d say their ideology is substantive. It’s kleptocracy/oligarchy and that is in opposition to liberal democracy
comment in response to post
Yes
But Project 2025 doesn’t require the cruelty - and the consequences of that on the global stage are enormous. The destruction of the (sometimes begrudging) belief in US largess, shining beacon, world leadership based on western values is a devastating blow to the “democratic project”
comment in response to post
I think this everyday. The dismantling of US health, scientific research, university system, rule of law, economy, intelligence services, military leadership ranks, civil rights, women’s rights, global reputation
ALL of this is the *hapless* consequence of ego and greed? Or much more deliberate?

All joking aside, Fox News has for many years now been State TV, the Trump version of RT.

California (pop. 40 million, like Canada) has the 100th city at 82,000. 50+ the top 100 cities are in the “San Francisco Bay Area” or “Greater Los Angeles” or “San Diego” Like Canada, populations are bunched in urban areas which then rapidly fall off into rural areas.
