Your feds are usurping power from a democratically elected state government in California. Your feds have threatened to annex whole countries, including mine. You can dismiss that as “doomy,” as if pointing out the problem IS the problem. Wake up.

What does it matter how state elections are run when the feds send in the troops to “liberate” the people from a “socialist” government?

It’s not the colour of the card they care about. It’s the colour of the skin.

Typical. Get angry at the wrong people. Look, Trump TOLD YOU there would be no more elections! And you want to believe that voting will save you? The whole world is asking, “How stupid can Americans be?” This coup will succeed unless Americans get smart… and angry.

Ha! I stopped going to the USA decades ago. Too crazy.

No, you can’t. There will be no election in which to vote. There may be an obviously rigged election but the USA is done with democracy. You need a cold boot.
comment in response to post
Do you honestly think there will be another election? Trump said it as plain as day, “Elect me and you’ll never have to worry about voting again.” The USA has suffered a coup and Americans still think voting is the answer. The resistance has begun in California. Rise up.

Of course they care. They care deeply… profoundly… when it’s someone else.

I saw Star Wars alone in a small theatre a year after it came out. I was 19 years old and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. 6 other people were in the theatre. I sat in the middle row, halfway back; the best seat. I had to process the movie alone, in my own head. I recommend this.

Silence. Music drowns the rhythm of the words.

Sorry about that. Not sure why I didn’t just look it up in the first place. Sisyphus by Marcell Jankovics was nominated in 1974 but didn’t win. I remember being very impressed with it. Here’s a link to it. youtu.be/FG-bi3rm6iM?...

I would love to see our PWHL team named the Vancouver Skookum! It’s a BC word meaning big, strong, or excellent. It is also a name for a creature similar to Sasquatch. It’s local, has a good meaning, and the Sasquatch would make a great logo!

Asimov warned us of this cult of ignorance. When you cut education, tell people to put faith before reason, and build distrust in science, you can make the population believe anything… even that vaccines are bad.

Give him a break. The guy who can’t figure out how to use a mouthguard can’t be expected to know which net to put the puck in.

I’ll join that protest! The guy who has won the most Stanley Cups should get his name spelled correctly.

Nice work! I also do leather work. I’m currently stitching together a pair of slip on Dakota work boots from which I removed the steel toes and shanks for comfort. As a former kiltmaker, I’ve made dozens of sporrans, etc. I once designed a sporran shaped wallet called the Sporganiser.

The world outside the USA is watching and wondering if cordyceps in humans is a real thing, or if this guy is just bug fuck nuts. What the hell are you guys doing? Get these assholes out of office and rejoin the sane world.

I still say that Tocchet’s big picture can include things not related to the Canucks. He could want to go back East for any number of reasons that don’t have anything to do with the Canucks. Unless Tocchet told you why he’s leaving, insinuating Canucks’ disaster is at best pessimistic.
comment in response to post
Not that sweet. I just dislike everyone saying what Tocchet leaving means about the Canucks future without any proof to back it up. Only Tocchet knows for sure.
comment in response to post
All we know about why he’s leaving is from what he said. Family. For all we know his wife wanted to move to the USA where he can also get a good offer. For him to say no doesn’t mean he looked at the big picture and decided the Canucks were going to tank. It doesn’t mean anything about the Canucks.

This guy is puking up lies that only the stupidest, most gullible right wing zealots could believe. “Trump endorsed Carney’s Liberals?” This kind of Trumpian projection politics works on those who prefer hate to inclusion. Politicians who use this tactic should be forced to work retail for 5 years.

It doesn’t make sense. We have high scoring players being delegated to dump and check offence. Not to mention the best DMan in the league for carrying the puck into the O-Zone. Now that we have a decent blue line, let the forwards score on the rush. They’re good at it!
