Yeah, they were plus minutes, but how many minutes? Compared to those other players I feel like Towns couldn’t stay on the floor due to foul trouble.

Seemed like a lot of it was Bridges coughing it up and bricking shots too

I’m ranking @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social 1st on my ballot. Best platform for NYC. Not ranking Eric Adams or Cuomo

Oh for fuckin sure! I have a daughter on the way, no way I’m tryna raise her in Texas if I don’t have to. (And I don’t have to! Got a job, get to stay in BK, we all win!)

100% felt this way then I visited in January. For the first time since leaving ATX in 2015 had the thought of “yeah, I’d move back if I had to.”

Highly highly recommend! The more eco-economy stuff comes more in part 2, but see @thedigradio.bsky.social from Mar 19 and Mar 24 for deep talk on where the world is and where it’s perhaps going

@iliasalami.bsky.social and Tim Sahay’s recent convo on The Dig developed my thinking in this regard.

I’ve basically had the same hunch. It seems like we’re taking our ball and going home as the global economy moves regardless. I see a future where we’re one of the last ones burning fuel while the rest of the world moves on past the petro-dollar to whatever’s next.

Finding music on HypeTrak, Gorilla vs. Bear some other blogsites like that, prob torrenting w piratebay (or still using limewire? Hard to remember.) prob still on MySpace but also added Facebook to the mix 08-09. Glanced at Twitter around then. Livejournal/blogspot occasionally still too.

Just did… yep, this Stephen Miran character is exactly the kind of creep I have in mind when I talk about the cadre of right wing sickos

Just to be clear I was thinking about Project 2025 style nativists and the realignment of business oligarchy (vitally, the tech owners) as I typed the above comment. Those factions seem like they would definitely prefer a system that forces fealty, even if their beloved market crashes first.

I think it’s important to consider whether they might actually have a tangible theory of power (as they seem pretty good at developing and using power nefariously), see recent post by @chrismurphyct.bsky.social that reasonably hypothesizes what that may be re: tariff policy

I think you have a clear picture of this, and I don’t think it’s just “Trump” but rather the entire cadre of power hungry right wing extremist lunatics that stay attached to him.
