“All these other physicians and chemists and biologists have been up in this thing and developed a whole field of best practices but I read something on the internet and now I’m gonna be the Albert fucking Einstein of pepper spray relativity” is some real Done My Own Research energy.

He should stop making his kid monitor his porn use and start monitoring his ass kissing. “Dad, you’re doing it again. Just stop. He’s never going to be nice to you.”

I understand. 😀 Having internet connections through universities from ‘87 through ‘95 (with a 1 yr break in there around ‘91) was a god send. Not much need for BBSs when I had info-Mac, gopher, and UseNet. What odd times they were.

Not far enough back ….
(Image is not accurate as to what I saw in the late 80s, but you can get the gist).

The issue here is misconduct and lying—police are supposed to be honest (I know, I know) and not corrupt. Not only did Diaz allegedly create a job for Tompkins and lie about the affair to investigators—he sued the city and let a low-level employee get fired for "making up" the affair.

This is like the idiot freshman you stumble across in the dorm. Absolutely divorced from reality and thoroughly smug in their alleged intellectual prowess.

At a pound each. That’ll be a hell of a forearm workout by the end of the game. 😀

I love your takes on your suit coats. As a professional who gravitated from business casual to super casual to WFH sweatpants and a t shirt, it’s refreshing to see someone enjoy dressing the way you do. For me? I hate wearing a suit coat and only do so when I have to testify (3 or 4 times a yr).

I often speed tutorials to 1.25 or 1.5. Then slow it in the complicated parts.

Agreed. They are relentless and useless to most consumers.
Oh it’s an ad with happy smiling people and the voice over is talking about necrotizing fasciitis of the perineum. Wow. Whiplash.
Yeah don’t Google that one either.

I’m a forensic psychologist. I do evaluations of murderers, sex offenders, etc. my search history is total trash. 😂
I can fortunately try to keep a lot of it in google Scholar which helps - a bit.

As a 60 year old male, working in psychiatric hospitals for 30+ years and I never heard of this until that last year or two when they started pushing ads on TV. BTW it’s Peyronie’s Disease. The first time it popped up, or didn’t, in a professional interview was within the last couple of months. 🤷
