You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

I keep telling everyone, there’s no master plan to trump’s lies. Dude literally constructs his reality on the fly with no more effort than you put into keeping your heart beating.

I’ve gone to PDF Expert on my Mac’s and iPads (or the default Preview app) because I hate Adobe Acrobat Reader with the burning passion of a 1000 suns. It has the worse interface of any app I’ve used. Even when I had Acrobat Pro through work a few years ago it was crap.

/3 4. People have been debating the right way to defy power for as long as there has been debate or power. A robust ongoing debate about what kind of protest is effective, “good politics,” or morally good is an unqualified good thing. Free people should debate stuff like that.

“All these other physicians and chemists and biologists have been up in this thing and developed a whole field of best practices but I read something on the internet and now I’m gonna be the Albert fucking Einstein of pepper spray relativity” is some real Done My Own Research energy.

I understand. 😀 Having internet connections through universities from ‘87 through ‘95 (with a 1 yr break in there around ‘91) was a god send. Not much need for BBSs when I had info-Mac, gopher, and UseNet. What odd times they were.

The issue here is misconduct and lying—police are supposed to be honest (I know, I know) and not corrupt. Not only did Diaz allegedly create a job for Tompkins and lie about the affair to investigators—he sued the city and let a low-level employee get fired for "making up" the affair.
