(Not that it’s acceptable for the Gov to just completely ignore reality.) But it doesn’t explain why the media have gone awol. So I’d like to do what I can to visually bring this issue to the fore, and in turn help pressure both the government & media to pay attention & do something

It’s honestly shocking how little coverage this drought is getting. Even though it’s obvious even in Melbourne how little rain we’ve had all summer! I heard someone say the government isn’t wanting to acknowledge there’s a drought because then they’d have to provide assistance. Sadly makes sense

We need your help to make it a success! We invite all people with ME, Long COVID, and other disabilities to join us! We are sending an SOS to -Save our support systems. Save our science. Save our society. A huge thank you to Jess of @hospmom.bsky.social for this amazing artwork! #Disability

And I would be grateful if you can share this thread so I get more thoughts. I’m also hoping to turn the polls into a post about making social media posts accessible for energy limiting disabilities/chronic illnesses like ME. While knowing sometimes accessibility needs conflict with each other!

I’m also asking if people prefer reels or images. All my posts already have alt text, image descriptions including text, and transcripts of audio. Are there any other preferences you think I should add/ask? #Accessibility #Disability #pwME

Ah cool yeah definitely look up rule of thirds, as that might help figure out placement. Or at least give you a starting framework

I’ll need to go look at his work to see if typical rules like thirds, avoiding the centre line etc still apply to a round canvas. Of course knowing breaking the ‘rules’ can also really work haha

I’ll have to check out his works. I imagine you get a good eye for round placement eventually, but yeah super tricky when you’re new!

And when I get the miniatures, I’m going to have to be so strict with following a timer for how long I photograph things for. Need to not overdo it in my excitement 🙃 #pwME #MECFS

It’s the perfect avenue to use my photography skills, but tell a story from my backyard. I’m mostly housebound with #ME myself, so miss photographing the world outside. I’m working on how I’ll make this with my own ‘voice’. I’ve ordered some miniature Aussie birds I’ll try. And see what develops

Like my social media, the goal is for my (not yet created) website to be as accessible as possible. And this includes my online store. So while I’m on this topic, if anyone knows of good examples of accessible websites & online stores, please send me links! #AccessibleDesign #Disability
