I submitted for this round, but if that doesn’t exclude me, I’d love to be a volunteer too!

I fucking hate him. Libertarian asshole is vetoing some really good legislation this year.
The rumor is that Bennett will run for governor and if he wins, appoint Polis to the vacant senate seat. I don’t see how polis could win at this point otherwise. I don’t know anyone who likes him.

It’s all powered by the same thing: the immiseration of humans by oligarchs who think we’re less human than they are.
The luddites were right and we need to learn from them. Technology should work for humans, not against us.

I am not Odo’s biggest fan (he’s a collaborator with the Cardassians!!!) but he is one of the only characters to love and appreciate Lwxanna as she deserves. I love her so much!

I think another aspect of that is Shatner wanting to look cool (free soloing in Yosemite) and Nimoy *being* cool so he can do things as Spock much less self consciously.
I love the concept of V but it’s just not a fun or interesting watch, especially compared to IV and VI.

I want to say everything about it but truly, it’s a ride you need to take with the movie.
I think vampire and blues movie in the Jim Crow south says quite a bit tho and its all interesting.

One of my proudest moments in school was convincing a teacher to let me write a media literacy paper about an Onion article back in 2002.
Despite her horror, the assignment was to use a newspaper and I was willing to argue for longer than her that the printed copy of the Onion counted.

One thing that makes me feel better about that asshole being in the movie is that Shatner and Nimoy made him miserable the entire shoot. And they kept requesting rewrites that ended up in him dying.

The only new-to-me I have left as of this evening is The Animated Series and Enterprise.
I too need this word.

I just feel cheated that I didn’t notice the USS Enterprise visiting in the 80s

I always thought I’d enjoy living in Deep Space Nine more than I am. This Dominion War can’t end soon enough.

110% The Skinner box sometimes hugs me! The only way I can remember to avoid it shocking me is by getting ENRAPTURED by something.
It’s usually Star Trek or a book and neither has done it for me this week.

I can’t remember writing this YA SF book but those were definitely the problems (and none of the beauties) of my query

And I like candles.
I bet you can’t recommend something to satisfy both of us!
