Well, many Americans are just intolerant to horribly bigoted in general. But there are also a lot of us who are terribly embarrassed by those attitudes and don’t feel that way at all. Oh no. There I go again. It’s so hard not to go back to thinking about this awful political climate. 🤦♀️

That absolutely makes sense! English is a cumbersome language from what I’ve read from English-as-second-language speakers. I’ve also read that’s it’s one of the most difficult languages to learn. Considering that, it’s a shame that Americans are so intolerant of people who don’t speak English. ⬇️

I don’t speak Japanese, but feel free to write in Japanese. I don’t mind using translation software. You should always feel free to express yourself in your mother tongue or whatever language you feel comfortable. Technology gives us so many wonderful opportunities.

Thank you so much. It’s 6:51 in the evening here in upstate New York. My partner and I are about to make dinner. I’m going to get off of Bluesky soon so political/current events news doesn’t ruin my evening. It’s becoming really scary here in the US and I’m trying to control my stress levels.

I’m afraid we’re going to see a staggering increase in the number of stress, anxiety and PTSD related deaths by heart disease and stroke amongst LGBTQ+ folks, vets and trauma victims over the next few years. If, of course, doctors and scientists even can or bother to study such things going forward.
