yeah, I mean frankly that's the part of this I know the least about. I do know Substack has leaned very hard into that, and I think it has its ups and downs, because the easiest way to juice it in the short term is to recreate a closed social network. But I don't think that's... healthy.

I don't have a lot of "music biz" contacts but I would love to know what the pitch looks like. I'd like to believe that it at least has some kind of incentive attached to it. I hate being the faceless person from the crowd who shows up angrily in the comments. But it's just too much to bear.
