No to inviting states to join us. They don’t understand us. They will overwhelm us. They should work together to solve their facism problem.

When we are supposed to be buying 🇨🇦, why are they glorifying this man who has a terrible history treating women badly?

Be careful that you don’t spoil your vacation staying too connected to the world’s troubles. Even us #SocialJusticeWarriors deserve time to recharge. #IllStopFingerWaggingNow

He’s not his predecessor I recognize PMMC’s process from my work helping organizations & groups make decisions. He’s making everyone agree to decision criteria & process at start That’s why he isn’t answering pipeline question. Criteria puts Indigenous & green front & centre #TrustTheProcess

Yes. And, it isn’t operating at capacity

I’m not so sure. I have trouble seeing fossil fuels passing through the 5 criteria PMMC set out on Friday (plus the addendum - no province forced to accept a project in their territory)

Great question. I don’t know. I wonder if PMMC thinks he can resolve the problem with India and that might be easier rapprochement

4/4 AND this might convert them to customers of our other green energy products I’ll say less than 50:50 chance Thoughts?
comment in response to post
3/4 5 - fossil fuels don’t have a track record of clean growth potential And, some provinces will not agree to pipelines However, depending on who purchases our fossil… our fossil fuel could have lower carbon emissions than what they are currently using
comment in response to post
3/4 Would need to be paired with carbon capture technology to decarbonise the fossil fuels 3 - Carbon capture does not have a high likelihood of successful execution 4 - I’ll speculate that pipelines won’t be a high priority for indigenous leaders
comment in response to post
2/4 1 - Strengthen 🇨🇦 autonomy, resilience, security 2 - Offer undeniable benefits to 🇨🇦, support economic growth. 3 - …high likelihood of successful execution. 4 - … high priority for Indigenous leaders. 5 - …clean growth potential, such as the use of clean technologies, sustainable practices.

He did state that the rest of the G7 members wanted Modi there. India is an important trading partner if we are decoupling from US

I think PMMC believes you solve problems by engaging I did read that a agreeing to a discussion about our complaints was a condition of the invitation

It will take a LONG time for the situation to “improve” after trump leaves. All his supporters will still be there AND I’ve never seen security measures rolled back

So sad that we have to use an economic argument to justify humane decisions
