People who communicate to the public are no longer journalists they are now communicators.
Journalism is about pursuing the truth.
Communications is about influencing people any way you can.
We have great communicators now in our newsrooms and in the white house press office.
God help us.

We need a blue interstate compact that allows us to coordinate efforts and combine resources to fight against the abuses of the Elon/trump regime.

Why are they addressing trump. Elon is the president. It's President Musk and his cuck boy, trump. We need to use their proper titles or all of this effort by republicans to save their states is going to go to waste if they send their missives to the little man at the desk. Kids even know it.

Not yet but this is how we start to get there I think.

We need blue state governments to comb through federal websites and post the material the federal websites have removed. Especially public service information type of websites.

Hey they are looking for conservative comedians at this venue. It would be funny if a bunch of progressive comedians snuck their way in. Email [email protected] to "audition".

Some battles will be fought by helping people in danger to move out of red states. Who is organizing to help that?

What organizations are providing support? I feel like we need organizations that can help trans people move out of red states to Blue States if they want to.

We need to do the same thing the Russian IRA does. Pick the messages, pick the targeted platforms, build a network of communicators and flood their media. Don't let them post a single message without three of our own messages right next to it. Repetition and volume.

Because they are a bunch of careerists worried more about their jobs than protecting this country. In point of fact, I don't think the Justice department feels they have a mission to protect the country. I think they only see their job as incarcerating people by whatever means available.

All I could think when reading this report is how absolutely the legal system failed this country. 20+ years serving to protect this country against the USSR/Russia. Never thought fellow citizens would succumb to Russian disinformation and the FBI and the Justice Department would fail so miserably.

After Trump Jr Visited Greenland maybe they realized trump would be next and decided that America doesn't always send their best. They will be sending their felons and rapists and grifters. And that's just the president and his cabinet.

Being reactionary is arguably what works these days. MAGA is pretty much only reactionary and they just won. Being reasonable in the face of unreasonableness doesn't seem to work.

Just wait for the inevitable failures then post and repost like crazy. Right now the most concrete failure, exhibit 1 as it were are the women dying as a result of the anti abortion laws.

We need the capability to swarm social media with the truth, but we don't have a cohesive way to do this. This is something Indivisible needs to develop. We need a coordinated way during situations like this to force fact-checking into social media on a massive scale. Zuck is not going to do it.

The Republicans are spreading massive disinformation already on their social media. They claim California doesn't have enough water because of environmental regulations to fight wildfires. They are pushing this to set up an attack on environmental regulation later.

Absolutely right. I spent 22 years serving. Never did I think we would be defeated because our people would be gullible enough to be taken in by a Russian disinformation campaign, and a careerist judge who failed to prosecute the man that initiated a physical attack on our Capital and our Congress.

You absolutely did. You are an apologist for the trump insurrectionists. That's right out of the Russian playbook. So how are things in the Russian IRA? Are they shipping you off to Ukraine any time soon?

Really? You support an overthrow of my government and you think you have the right to call anyone a fascist? You support trump who is literally following the fascist playbook and you think you have the right to call anyone a fascist.

Actually, traitor, progressive protestors have also been arrested. Now they typically get a fine and released BECAUSE THEY DON'T FORCE THE ENTIRE CONGRESS TO EVACUATE.

Wrong Ricky you were lied to.

Maybe they should try picking people who aren't rapists or crooks just to kind of mix it up a little bit. It's just a thought.

When Donald Trump pardons the 6 Jan protestors it will be the first time a president will have pardoned thugs that did violence on his behalf to keep him in power. What prevents him from promising pardons to anyone that would kill opponents on his behalf? Write your blue state leaders.

It was inevitable that Trump would win. Because over 50% of this country is either immoral enough, or stupid enough to vote for him or choose to not vote.
You can't fix stupid. So stop doing that.
Instead we need to focus on how to turn blue states into havens from red state abuses.

Well, most of the people that are likely to stop getting vaccines when the bullshit begins are MAGATS. If you currently don't wear a mask as much anymore consider just putting them on whenever you are around MAGATS. It is probably a statistically sound way to reduce your chance of getting infected.
